Chapter 1984

"Fine! This ends here. We Hiltons and Golans will retreat now! Let's go, troops!" after a brief moment ofcontemplation, Devon finally decided to take the high road.

After all, Leon could run, but he could not hide!

Although Leon got lucky this time and managed to get away with three parties on his side, the Hiltonswere certain that his luck would eventually run out!

They would wait patiently until that day arrived, and then get rid of him once and for all!

There was no need to act rashly at all—the perfect time would eventually come!

"You want to run? Not so fast!" all of a sudden, Leon sneered. "Sirs, Seth, and Gordon acted underJoel's orders throughout all this, and so he's the mastermind behind all this! Please arrest him and givehim the punishment he deserves!" he said solemnly.

Since Joel remained impartial throughout all this, Leon previously mistakenly thought that he was notinvolved in Iris and Snow's kidnapping at all, but now, after Gordon's betrayal, he discovered that Joelwas the mastermind behind all this!

Not only was he the one who instructed Gordon to capture Iris and Snow, but he even summoned therest of the Hiltons to kill him!novelbin

There was no way he could allow the Hiltons to leave just like that, without any retribution for thecrimes they committed at all!

"Um," Oliver and Abraham froze when they heard this, then exchanged nervous glances.

The Hiltons were one of the most powerful families in the Southern region, and the Dragon Corps couldnot possibly capture any member of them without a valid reason!

Therefore, it was not at all appropriate of them to arrest Joel just based on Leon's orders!

However, Leon was their superior, and there was no way they could go against his orders!

With these two considerations in mind, they could not help wondering what was the best course ofaction.

"Hey, don't overstep your boundaries, you twat!" Devon and Joel were both outraged by this. TheHiltons had the upper hand, and if the Dragon Corps did not show up just in time, Leon probably wouldhave been dead by now!

Not only was Leon ungrateful for his narrow escape, but he even dared to retaliate!

None of them could understand just how na?ve this man was!

"Mister Wolf, let's just leave this for another day!"

"Yes, it's better to count our blessings. Please let the Hiltons and the Golans leave!" Angus and Alanquickly piped up. They all knew that with the Hiltons' influence, the Dragon Corps could not arrest themwithout reason at all.

Thus, it was utterly bogus of Leon to demand them to capture Joel just like that!

Because of this encounter, the Thompsons and the Hughes already became enemies of the Hiltons, and as long as Leon could stomach this one incident, he would have plenty of opportunities to seekrevenge on them again in the future!

There was no need for him to demand retribution right now at all!
