Chapter 1981

"Um," Devon did not know how to react to Oliver's interrogation. He knew full well that trespassing wasamong the most forbidden acts in the Gangster World!novelbin

Although the Dragon Corps rarely got involved in these conflicts, they have long-established some lawsabout gang wars and feuds to minimize the consequences as much as possible to maintain peace. However, the fact that the Hiltons trespassed into the Scammells' territory meant that they broke one ofthe most sacred laws known to them!

It was one thing if the Dragon Corps were not notified of this, but now that they came to know of theHiltons' invasion, there was no way they could sit by idly and allow it to happen right underneath theirnoses!

"Sirs, please listen to me! Leon has also trespassed into the Golans' territory once before, and not onlydid he cripple my cousin, Seth, he even stripped Seth of his powers—a truly cruel and ruthless act! WeHiltons came over on behalf of the Golans to avenge Seth's fate—we didn't mean to overpower or bullyhim without reason at all!" Joel declared, stepping up to explain everything to Oliver and Abraham.

"Yes, Joel is right! We're just here to seek revenge for what Leon did. As long as the Scammells handhim over, make him apologize to Seth, and make the appropriate restitution, we Hiltons will retreatimmediately and spare the Scammells! However, if they insist on protecting Leon and refuse to handhim over, I'm afraid we have to do things the hard way. I sincerely hope you can where we're comingfrom, sirs!" Devon added, regaining a little confidence in his stance now.

"Well," Oliver and Abraham both frowned when they heard this and exchanged dubious glances.

The Dragon Corps prided themselves on maintaining peace without utilizing violence. Thus, theyalways made it a priority to have evidence before prosecuting anyone, but now, it was clear that Leonwas the one who provoked the Hiltons in the first place!

Not only did the Hiltons and Golans have a perfect reason for retaliating, but they also did not, in fact, cause much harm to the Scammells at all, nor were there any lives lost at this event.

Therefore, the Dragon Corps was in no place to interfere at all!

"Nonsense! Sirs, please don't believe them! It was Seth who first attacked Snow and me, and Leonwas forced to attack Seth to save me," Iris quickly explained.

"Oh, is that so?" Oliver and Abraham perked up when they heard this. Since Seth was the main culpritand not Leon, this made things much easier to handle!

Leon was not the one to blame anymore for all this, and besides, Leon was technically their superior,so of course they would not let anything happen to him right underneath their noses!

"Sirs, this is just Iris' claims, she's just trying to slander us and you shan't listen to her! she's perfectlyfine now, but Seth is still suffering the consequences of Leon's actions—that's the real truth!" Joel pipedup.

He was technically correct; Iris was unscathed from her encounter with Seth, and as long as neither theHiltons nor the Golans admitted it, there was no way to know whether she was telling the truth or not!

"That's right! My grandson is still recovering from his injuries, and the evidence is as clear as day! Sirs, please do help us get revenge for this unlawful act toward him!" Eliam shouted. Then, he signaled tohis guards to bring Seth over on his stretcher and laid him down on the ground before Oliver andAbraham.

At this moment, Seth looked extremely frail and sickly—a stark contrast to Iris, who was in perfecthealth!

There was no denying this, and the Dragon Corps were people of great rationality, so they were certainthat the Dragon Corps would be able to make the right call!
