Chapter 1316

Chapter 1316

“I think that’s cloudy–clear, not cream–clear.”

A few other more seasoned rock gamblers scanned the rock intently.

The staff just started cutting into it, so the inside of the rock was not completely exposed. Since cloudy-clears and cream–clears were rather similar, no one could tell which one it was. However, they couldtell that there was a lack of transparency, so there was a high chance that it was a piece of cloudy–clear jadeite.

Under the watchful eyes of every customer, the staff continued to cut into the rock.

“It’s a piece of cloudy–clear jadeite!”

The crowd stirred.

Apart from a few of the more experienced customers, even others could tell that it was a cloudy–clearjadeite, not a cream–clear. Though the two were similar in their names, the cloudy–clear was classifiedas high- quality jadeite, while the cream–clear was considered top–quality jadeite.

“It’s just a piece of cloudy–clear!”

“What a shame!”

The smile on Andy’s face froze.

Like flower–greens, cloudy–clear jadeites were considered high–quality jadeite and the jadeitediscovered in the third rock was of even smoother texture compared to the first rock. More importantly,

cloudy–clear jadeites were more suitable for statues and it would be perfect to make it into a statue forPatrick’s birthday.

Andy soon recovered from the disappointment and beamed again.

However, before he had the time to celebrate, what happened next shook him.

The staff continued to polish the rock but did not find any more jadeite inside.novelbin

There was only a small piece of cloudy–clear jadeite on the surface and the rock was mostly composedof sand.

“How could this be?” Andy was utterly stunned.

He wanted to carve the cloudy – clear jadeite into a statue, only to realize that there was only a palm–sized jadeite left after all the cutting and polishing. It was barely enough for bracelets and a few smalleraccessories, but could not possibly be enough for a statue.

“What a shame!”

“Here I thought that he might be experienced in this. I’ve overestimated him!”

“Yeah! Looks like he just got lucky for his first rock.”

The others sighed and shook their heads.

Among the three rocks Andy selected, only one of them ended up containing high–quality jadeite, which meant that Andy was lucky.

“Damn it!” Feeling humiliated, Andy blushed.

The higher one climbed, the harder the fall.

He was so confident in his ability when he was complimented by others and he even allowed himself tothink that he would find top–quality jadeite, only to be proven wrong by reality.
