“No way! I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s going on!” Leon’s expression darkened.
He conflicted feelings about Cynthia and with him dating Iris, he would send Cynthia his blessing fromthe bottom of his heart if she was marrying a man that she was truly in love with. However, Theodorewas a known womanizer who did not deserve Cynthia.
Theodore belonged to a family that was the enemy of both Leon and the Shears, so Leon could notunderstand why the Shears would agree to this and refused to leave before learning the truth.
“I’m begging you, Leon! Just go! I don’t want you to get hurt, nor can I put my family at risk,” Cynthiapleaded as she tried to shove Leon off the stage.
However, Leon stood his ground and no matter how hard she tried, Leon would not budge.
He grabbed her hand and said, “Cynthia, tell me the truth. What on earth’s going on?!”
Based on Cynthia’s reaction, even a fool could tell that something was wrong and he refused to leaveher behind.

“As if the Fields can hurt me at all! What a joke!” Leon scoffed and turned to glance at Theodore withcontempt.
With all the tools he gathered on top of his strength, Leon might not be able to destroy the Fields on hisown, but neither would the Fields be capable of hurting him.
“Maybe the Fields aren’t capable of hurting you, but what about the Lapwoods?” Sean scoffed andstepped out of the crowd with his three guards.
“Who are you?” Leon froze at the overpowering aura from the four approaching him.
At this point, Cynthia realized that she could not hide the truth any longer and said bitterly, “I’ll tell youthe truth, Leon. They are from the Lapwoods in Solum County! The one in front is Theodore’s brother–in–law, the second son of the Lapwoods, San Lapwoods. Behind him are two men in the AdvancedOverlord State and one martial artist in the Peak Overlord State, whom he brought with him from hisfamily!”
“What?! Two men in the Advanced Overlord State and one martial artist in the Peak Overlord State?How is that even possible?!” Leon was shaken to the core by Cynthia’s words, and he was not the onlyone.
All the people in the audience stood as they gaped at Sean and his guards.
