All the young men in the audience gasped when they saw Cynthia and turned to look at Theodoreenviously.
Cynthia was one of the Four Beauties and if Theodore was perfectly healthy and well, he could beconsidered a man worthy of Cynthia’s hand in marriage; however, with his legs destroyed, everyonesimply felt sorry for Cynthia.
Just then, Benedict and the Shears stepped out of the cars at the back of the convoy and like Cynthia,there was a dark expression on every one of them.
Following the arrival of Cynthia, Theodore, and the Shears, the wedding officially began.
A man in a suit and a woman in a nightgown stepped onto the steps.
The two were famous television hosts and were hired to host the wedding. Apart from the hosts, theFields hired several famous actors and actresses to be the groomsmen and bridesmaids. Naturally, thebeautiful actresses could hardly hold a candle to Cynthia’s beauty and were all ignored by the others.
“Thank you for taking the time to be a part of this wedding. On behalf of the Fields and the groom,Mister Theodore, we thank you for your blessing,” The hosts walked to the center of the stage andgreeted all the guests, which was met with a round of applause by the audience.
“Now, let’s invite our groom, Mister Theodore, and our bride, Miss Cynthia, to the stage. Pleasewelcome them with a round of applause!”
The two hosts started clapping and the others followed.
With the help of the groomsmen, Theodore went up the stage in his wheelchair.
“Harvey, go up to the stage with Cynthia!” Brad said darkly.
Traditionally, it was supposed to be the father who accompanied the bride to the stage, before handingher over to the groom. However, Brad could not be more against the marriage and wanted no part of it,so he could only ask Harvey to stand in his place.
“Sure,” Harvey muttered gloomily. He took Cynthia’s hand and slowly walked toward the stage, whilethe bridesmaids helped with the skirt of the wedding dress.
“What a shame!”
“Another one of the Four Beauties claimed!”
The young men in the audience sighed gloomily.
Iris, who was the most beautiful woman, started dating Leon; on top of that, the second most beautifulwoman was going to be married soon, and all eligible bachelors in the city were overwhelmed bydisappointment.
“We hereby announce that the wedding begins! First of all.”
The hosts proceeded with the wedding but were instantly interrupted.
“Hang on! I object!” A Rolls–Royce raced toward the venue and came to a sudden halt before theplaza. The car door flew open and Leon stepped out of the vehicle with Ruth and Iris.
