Chapter 639

Two days later, it was time for Penny to perform.

Early in the morning, the teacher picked up Penny to the theater first and gathered with other childrenparticipating in the performance to put on makeup together.

Neera and the others could go there before the performance. Seeing that it was almost time, they set off.novelbin

Penny got them a front-row seat. After being seated, there were many parents around. The performance had notyet started, and the scene was lively.

"Is this your first time participating in this kind of event? How do you feel?" Neera asked Jean with a smile.

Jean sat leisurely in the seat. His posture was relaxed.

"It's amazing. I feel good," Jean answered, "I never thought I would participate in this kind of parent-childactivity before."

Neera felt amused but also felt a little warm.

Outsiders said Jean was arrogant and cold-hearted and would never waste time on anyone. But now, he left hiswork and was willing to spend time here with her and her children.

They talked for a while, and the show was about to begin.

The lights in the theater gradually dimmed and left only the stage on. The surrounding voices gradually stoppedand became quiet. Soon, the music sounded, and the performance curtains slowly opened.

A group of children appeared on the stage wearing various styles of dance costumes. Those who could perform inthis place were formal national standard dancers, and the level must be above professional. Although thosechildren were still young, their moves were of first-class standards.

"When will Penny's show start?" Sammy watched for a while but could not find Penny.

Neera whispered, "Penny's show is the finale. Be patient and watch other people's performances."

Sammy nodded and waited obediently.

Soon, performances followed one another. More than an hour later, it was Penny's turn. She would perform theballet called Swan Lake.

Penny did not come on stage right away. As the lead dancer, she was the central figure. Her teacher deliberatelyarranged for her to appear last.

The slow prologue gradually turned cheerful, and Penny finally came out amidst the expectations of severalpeople.

Penny was wearing a white swan skirt, which looked cute and soft. Her pretty face with delicate light makeupshone brightly under the spotlight.

She quickly jumped to the middle position and danced with her friends like a little swan leading the team.

Her rhythm was good, and her movements were beautiful and smooth. She perfectly set off the artisticconception.

After the performance, there was thunderous applause. Many people discussed the show in low voices. Somepraised their children, and many complimented Penny.

"The little girl in the middle dances so well!"

"Yes! She looks like a white swan. Her dance is alive!"

"She's talented! If she's well-trained, she'll become a dance master!"

Neera smiled upon hearing the comments toward Penny and felt proud. Even Jean felt a sense of pride.

After a while, several people went to pick up Penny backstage. Harvey and Sammy were wearing small suits andholding flowers. They looked like two young gentlemen. When they saw Penny, they gave her flowers andstroked her head lovingly.

"Penny, congratulations on your success!"

"Penny, you were so dazzling on the stage! Everyone was praising you! I wished to tell them you were my sister!"

Sammy was excited while grabbing Penny and talking non-stop with pride.

At this time, Penny's teacher came over and greeted Neera with a smile, "Ms. Garcia, your daughter did very welltoday. Many teachers are praising her."

Neera responded humbly, "Thank you. You taught Penny well."

"You're welcome. Penny has the talent. She dances so well!"

After talking for a while, the teacher got into the main topic. "By the way, I want to tell you about a matter."

"What's the matter?"

"A foreign teacher wants to take Penny as her disciple. She watched Penny's performance and thought that Pennywas very talented. Her name is Amanda, a well-known ballet dancer in the world. She wants to train Penny. It's agood chance. After all, Ms. Amanda has only two disciples in this world."

Neera had heard about Amanda. Amanda was an almost god-like existence in the dance world!

Neera could not help being a little surprised. She was happy that Penny got favored by such a big shot. But shepondered for a while and did not reply right away.

"Please help me to express my gratitude to Ms. Amanda. Thank you for favoring Penny. But I want to go backand discuss it with Penny."

Of course, the teacher had no objection. "I understand. It's not a trivial matter. I'll tell Ms. Amanda and ask her towait. Please reply as soon as possible."

Neera smiled. "Okay, thank you."
