Chapter 55

Harvey's body was soft, and he had the smell of milk. He softened Jean's heart. Jean had never been this close toanyone, not including a child. He was stunned for a while after being pecked by Harvey; he could not believewhat happened.

Harvey was shy; he tried to look cool and stay calm, but his reddened ears showed otherwise. This was his firsttime getting close to others other than his mom and siblings. Even though this was his dad, he still felt a littleembarrassed. Yet he was overjoyed because Daddy hugged him and applied ointment to him. He felt that he wasgetting closer to his dad! He could not hold himself back from getting closer to Daddy; he wanted to express hisfeelings to him.

To hide the fact that he was nervous, he hurriedly got down from the sofa and went to the bathroom to look atPixie. Pixie was obediently sitting on the sink; it seemed fine at the moment. Yet it was shivering after beingshocked.

After Ian dried its fur, it jumped into Harvey's embrace and moaned. He caressed its head and said, "It's fine; it'sall good now. You're safe…" It seemed like Pixie understood his words as they calmed down. Harvey thenbrought it back to the living room. novelbin

Jean's mood was good, especially after being pecked. He did not dislike it! He sat on the sofa and scrolledthrough documents on his tablet.

Harvey sat on his side and innocently asked, "I saw that you were unhappy when I first came in; did anythinghappen?" Although he felt down just now, he could still see that Jean was not in a good mood; he looked angry!

Jean did not expect him to ask it; he was silent for a while before he answered. Harvey asked with great concern,"Mr. Handsome, did you face any unhappy things?" You can share with me to feel better!" His words broughtwarmth to him.

Jean smirked and responded, "It's nothing much; it's related to my work." Then he casually asked, "Youmentioned that your mommy isn't feeling well; what's wrong?"

"Ah, she's…" Harvey pondered for a while. I think I'm not allowed to talk about Mommy's true identity yet.Daddy will be furious if he knows Mommy rejected his request!

So he found an excuse to answer him, "She's not sleeping well ever since giving birth to us, so sometimes she'slike this." Jean felt that his answer was strange. Is she just lacking sleep? I don't think so. She looked so bad backin the hospital. But it seems like Harvey is telling the truth. He did not ask more.

After a while, Harvey went home, as he missed the other two days and his siblings. He obediently said goodbyeand went home.

Jean sent him away, and he suddenly squinted as he pondered. Ian looked at him from the side, and he said, "Mr.Beauvort, do you think that Ms. Neera is actually Ms. Nancy?"

Jean answered, "I just feel that it's too coincidental! She was at the hospital. and Ms. Nancy was there too. Butmaybe I was wrong." He tapped the sofa, and he said, "Ask for her to come later for my second session; I'll testher out."

"Okay, Mr. Beauvort."
