She wasn't sure if Shannon did it on purpose or not, but it was just too coincidental!

"Miss Murphy, you're too polite! I'll just focus on my work for now!" Ranita's response was a refusal,but Shannon seemed to ignore it and flirtatiously twirled her hair while saying, "Ranita, why are youbeing so polite with me?"
Just then, Cindy handed Shannon some ointment. Shannon blinked at Ranita and put on anaffected tone as she said, "Brendon got drunk last night and caused quite a commotion. My knee isbruised!"
Her voice was dripping with coquettishness, and her eyes sparkled with a hint of flirtation. Shepractically wanted to shout from the rooftops that she had an intimate relationship with Brendon.
"Miss Murphy, I know you and Mr. Stuart have a good relationship, but please don't display it soearly in the morning! We have a concert to perform soon, so it's better to focus on that," Cindyreminded Shannon while chatting away on the side.
Ranita was the master of keeping her emotions hidden, and she chose to remain silent.
"Oh dear, there's someone else here!" Shannon grabbed Cindy's shoulder and smiled at Ranitaagain. "Don't mind her," referring to Cindy, who sometimes spoke bluntly without any maliceintended. "And Brendon is very gentle towards me. It's just that my skin is delicate..."
Cindy worked for Shannon, so naturally, she sided with her boss when it came down to choosingsides. She followed up by adding, "Miss Bowman, don't mind, though, because Mr. Stuart has goodfeelings towards our boss here. This limited edition bracelet on our boss's wrist was a gift from him!"The two of them teamed up like a master-servant duo, using their combo moves to show offBrendon's favoritism towards Shannon.
Wasn't all this just an attempt to show off how much Brendon favored her?
Ranita sighed inwardly but didn't want to engage in any further conversation. She had alreadydivorced her ex-husband, and there was really no need for such drama anymore.
"I don't mind. You guys go ahead and chat. I'll go to the restroom for a moment," said Ranita. Shefelt a tickle in her throat and figured she might feel nauseous later, so she decided to take a breakand have a piece of candy.
As soon as Ranita left, Cindy immediately sneered, "Shannon, she is quite composed."
"She's not easy to deal with." Shannon gritted her teeth. She thought Ranita might not show uptoday! Yesterday, she wasted a bowl of soup on her!
Shannon was really angry yesterday. She only turned back because the chef told her that pregnantwomen shouldn't drink it. If one bowl of soup could make Ranita lose her baby, she would have setoff fireworks!
"I heard that Ranita comes from an average background. Her parents are from out of town, andshe's alone in Kurima trying to make a living. It should be easy for us to deal with someone likethat!" Cindy knew too well how to destroy someone in the entertainment industry.
"Okay, Mr. Semeraro is here now, and the concert is more important!" Shannon had seen many dirtytricks, but if they were going to be done, she couldn't do them herself. Her concert was about to
start, and it wasn't worth risking anything.
Ranita spent a long time washing her hands in the bathroom.
