Chapter 261 Vincent

Breath hot and heavy, teasing her ear.

Ranita's heart was racing, and she couldn't help but glare at him when he teased her. "What are youtalking about?"

Brendon looked down at her blushing ears with pleasure, thinking to himself that Ranita was such acute little thing.

"I said what?" Brendon couldn't resist teasing her again.

"You..." Ranita bit her lip, cheeks turning pink as well.

Seeing that the little kitten was about to explode in anger, Brendon held back his mischievousthoughts and spoke softly. "I just wanted to say that you really need some rest. What are youthinking about all the time, Ranita?"novelbin

"Brendon!" Ranita stopped in her tracks and stomped on his foot hard!

Why was this guy so annoying?

Although she felt angry inside, there was also a sweet feeling of happiness mixed in as well.

Brendon didn't get mad after being stepped on. Instead, he took two quick steps forward as ifnothing had happened and walked side by side with Ranita. He felt an adolescent impulse stirringwithin him.

Julia walked ahead and caught a glimpse of their interaction, feeling a mix of emotions. Shesomewhat stiffly pushed open the door to the meeting room and said, "Please come in."

Julia had been at Stuart's Corp for many years. She had good abilities and was beautiful, but shecouldn't capture Brendon's attention.

Previously, Julia would always look at Ranita with a mocking gaze.

Now, seeing a different side of Brendon, she felt like a joke herself. She felt jealous and envious, realizing that at least Ranita was his wife.

Brendon entered the room ahead of them, with Ranita following behind. Julia lowered her gaze, unable to hold back her emotions, and subtly adjusted her high heels forward.

Unaware of the situation, Ranita stumbled and tripped, rushing forward.

"Be careful!" In an instant, Ranita's arm was grabbed, pulling her into someone's embrace with athud. Startled, Ranita looked at Vincent, who had suddenly appeared.

How did he end up here?

"Would you please let go?!" At that moment, Brendon's cold voice came through. Ranita realizedwhat had happened, regained her balance, and smiled at Vincent. "Thank you for earlier. ButVincent, what brings you here?"

"I came for an interview," Vincent replied in a refined manner. His slowed-down speech made hisvoice even more soothing and pleasant to listen to.

Ranita was surprised. Who could have predicted such a coincidence?

"But didn't you say you were staying at the school to teach? How come..."

"The school doesn't have many classes, so I came here to work part-time!" Vincent paused beforeadding, "I didn't expect you to come today too."

As Brendon listened to the two of them chatting like old friends, his eyes darkened and his bodytemperature dropped.

"Are you Mr. Ramos who's interviewing me today?" Brendon stepped forward as his wife ignoredhim and partially blocked Ranita. "I'm Brendon."

"Do you know each other?"

"Mr. Ramos is also a graduate of Kurima Foreign Studies University," Ranita explained briefly, whileVincent introduced himself to Brendon, "Mr. Stuart, I've heard your name before. I'm Vincent. I'vemet Ranita a few times before and we're friends."

"Alright, let's not chat anymore. I'm in a hurry," Brendon said coldly.

Brendon sat next to Ranita while Vincent sat on the other side. As he looked through Vincent'sresume which was even more impressive than Ranita's, he couldn't help but feel annoyed by howclose he seemed with her.

"You used to work at the Department of Translation and Interpretation which was pretty good overthere. Why did you leave?" Brendon asked nonchalantly with his chin resting on his hand.
