"Mr. Stuart..." Ranita wanted to argue, but Brendon was firm and his face clearly showed the word"no." It made Ranita furious!
As soon as she got back to her studio, she locked herself in her office and muttered furiously,"Brendon is not human! Brendon is not human!"

Beforeleaving, Olivia Foley reminded her about a dinner appointment tonight where they would discussbusiness matters.
Ranita feared running out of time so she put on makeup early and changed into a long dressinstead of wearing professional attire.
"Mr. Stuart, here are the organized materials for you to look at," said Ranita while secretly glancingat her wristwatch since she could only afford five minutes here or else risk being late.
"You're in a hurry?" asked Brendon keenly while flipping through some pages before his gaze fellupon the woman's dress; he slowly spoke up, "The dress looks unique."
"Thank you for your compliment, Mr. Stuart!" The woman raised an eyebrow with a smile; fatiguedisappeared from between her brows leaving only bright eyes shining like stars - not only did thisdress look unique but so did this person!
Ranita worked diligently without any flaws found by Brendon. After putting down the materials withinten seconds, Ranita bolted away like escaping from something.
Brendon gazed at the back of the woman who just disappeared, his cold eyebrows suddenlywrinkled showing displeasure. Caleb came in reporting work just then, Brendon thought foramoment and asked, "Do you know where Ranita is going tonight?"
"Huh?" Caleb took a while to react, "Are you looking for Miss Bowman? I can call..."
"No need!" said Brendon indifferently. Ranita's whereabouts had nothing to do with him. Heshouldn't have been curious about it anyway since he wasn't involved.
When Brendon said there wasn't any need, Caleb didn't ask further. After reporting his work, Calebreminded Brendon that he had booked a restaurant with Shannon tonight and that the driver hadalready gone to get her. Estimated time of arrival was in about ten minutes.
Brendon didn't want to care about Ranita, but he found himself distracted the whole way, thinkingabout her. Who was she dressed up so nicely for? Was it Dylan or someone else she kept hidden inher heart?
He claimed not to care, but he was always full of suspicion.
"Brendon!" Shannon couldn't help but call out when she saw him fiddling with his pen without writinganything. "Is something bothering you?"
"No, I'm fine," Brendon said as he read the termination letter sent by the legal department.
"Work is important, Brendon, but you need to take breaks too," Shannon reminded him gentlybefore asking tentatively, "Since you and Ranita broke up, is she still working here?"
"You and her..."
"Shannon..." Brendon began before cutting himself off. "Shannon... I appreciate her work skills.That's all."
Shannon blushed at Brendon's explanation while feeling excited at the same time.
She knew that in Brendon's heart, she was the most important person no matter what happenedbetween him and Ranita over three years ago. After all, how could forced love ever be sweet?Shannon felt extremely pleased with herself!
