Brendon wasn't that romantic, and he wouldn't send her flowers. As Ranita thought about this, hermood started to become gloomy.
"Huh?" Ranita found a small card with a handwritten message, "Wishing Ranita health andhappiness!" Signed by her brother, Jedidiah.
Jedidiah sent them?
Ranita's bright eyes sparkled with a smile as she ran to grab her phone and sent a message toJedidiah, "Brother, why did you suddenly send me flowers?"
Yesterday during dinner, Ranita mentioned the hotel she stayed at. Unexpectedly, this morning shereceived a thoughtful gift from him.
The words on the card were also handwritten by Jedidiah, so this flower should have beenhandpicked by him as well.
A phone call was coming in.
"Ranita, did you receive the flowers? I remember you used to like champagne roses, have yourpreferences changed now?"
Jedidiah's voice was accompanied by a hearty laugh, and Ranita's mood lifted as her eyebrows andeyes lifted. She smiled and said, "The flowers are very beautiful, I really like them! Thank you,brother!"
"Don't thank me! You're my sister!" Jedidiah paused and sounded a bit regretful, "I have to hurryback to Steland soon, otherwise I could have spent more time with you."
Jedidiah didn't want to waste the opportunity to see Ranita, as it'd been difficult for him to do so.
But he can't get away from work.
"Ranita, listen to me. Can you come back to Steland?" Jedidiah's tone lowered towards the end andhis emotions seemed unstable, making Ranita feel heartbroken as she listened.
Ranita pursed her lips and thought for a moment before saying, "I do have plans to return toSteland." Pausing briefly, she continued, "I've been busy with work these past few years and I feel abit tired. After visiting Steland, I plan on taking some time to further my education."
"Ah? Further studies, are you going abroad?" Jedidiah finally returned from overseas and now itwas Ranita's turn to leave. He asked eagerly, "Why? How did you suddenly decide to go abroad?"
"You don't have to be so anxious... I'm just considering it, nothing is confirmed yet." Ranita didn'tsay anything last night because she was afraid Jedidiah would get excited and ask too manyquestions. At least now on the phone, it was not as awkward. "I..."
Before she could finish speaking, a warm body pressed against her from behind.

"Little bug? Haha!" Jedidiah's gentle laughter came through. He said, "I remember you were alwaysafraid of bugs when you were little. Every time you saw one, you would run over with a red nose..."
Embarrassed at being caught, Ranita interrupted with a cough and said, "I didn't do that! Brother, Ihave something to do here. I won't talk to you anymore."
"Hang up first!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Brendon took her phone away and hung up before throwing it onthe sofa.
Brendon forcefully pulled her into his arms and his arm tightly wrapped around her waist almostbreaking it!

Brendon held onto her wrist tightly while coldly looking at the rose in her hand which made himshiver.
