With Brendon personally taking care of things, Allen felt relieved. But thinking about how muchmoney he would lose made him unhappy.
He looked pitifully at Ranita and said, "Sister-in-law, I want some strawberries. Can you wash somefor me?"
Allen was the best person in Boulderland Mansion towards her.
And whether it was genuine or fake sincerity, Ranita could see clearly that Allen truly regarded heras his respected sister-in-law.
Ranita went off to wash strawberries.

"The weather is getting hot. I can't eat anything." Ranita gave him an evasive answer whichsatisfied him enough for now. She handed over the sparkling strawberries to her saying, "Sister-in-law this is from my friend in Dago who air shipped them over here for me. They're really sweet. Tryone!"
"I wanted to send them over for you as soon as I received them but then suddenly ended up inhospital so couldn't send any more."
Ranita took one from his hand and took a bite- sour yet sweet taste filled her mouth. At first she onlythought it tasted good, but after eating several pieces, she found herself suddenly addicted.
"If you like them, sister-in-law, take these with you when you go back later. I'll call my friend latertonight asking if they can send more over…" Before finishing his sentence, the door of his wardsuddenly opened wide.
Allen timidly called out ,"Cousin…"
"You guys keep talking! I can see that you're having a good time here!" Brendon's dark gaze wasenough to make Allen's scalp tingle with fear.
Allen looked at Ranita and mouthed, "Help me, sister-in-law!"
"I'm talking to you, why are you looking at Ranita?" Brendon frowned, his displeasure growing.
"No! I wasn't looking at my sister-in-law!" Allen shook his head. "Hehe... cousin, didn't you go to thecompany? Why did you come back so soon?"
As soon as Allen finished speaking, he felt Brendon's expression worsen. He quickly tried to makeup for it. "Brendon, don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying that I don't welcome your visit. It's justthat since you and my sister-in-law just got off the plane, it would be better if you rested first."
"Ahem!" Ranita cleared her throat as a hint for Allen to shut up.
"Okay... I won't say anything else!" The best way to deal with Brendon was to admit fault andapologize!
He said, "Cousin, I'm sorry! This is all my fault and I am willing to take responsibility."
Brendon didn't say anything but his unfriendly gaze made Allen tremble in fear.
After visiting the hospital, Ranita went back to the hotel only be told she had been assigned a suitewith Brendon.... this was very annoying.
After leaving the hospital, Brendon went out again without telling Ranita where he was going.
Ranita couldn't ask him so she washed strawberries while watching TV.
Time passed slowly.
Brendon still hadn't returned.
In her drowsiness, Ranita seemed like she fell asleep.
"Click!"
She woke up when she heard the sound of someone opening the door. Ranita rubbed her eyes andlooked towards the door in confusion.
In dim light, a tall figure slowly walked towards her.
"Brendon... you're back?"
"Mmm," he responded as he took off his tie and casually placed it on table before sitting next to her,his large body leaning against hers, his furry head resting on her shoulder...
Just like before, someone was waiting for him after work.
At this moment, Brendon felt like his heart would fly away.
