Brendon closed the notebook heavily then threw it into the drawer.
Although they both agreed to this relationship willingly enough, how many men could truly say theywouldn't mind when their wife had someone else in their heart?
He couldn't help feeling disgusted by it all.
"Ding Ling Ling!"
The intercom rang.
"Mr. Stuart, Miss Stuart, and Miss Murphy are here..." Julia hadn't finished speaking yet when Hollybarged in with Shannon.
"Brother! You have got to help Shannon!" Holly rushed in angrily then immediately began crying,"You don't know how terrible Ranita is! She bullied Shannon then shamelessly accused her!"
Seeing Holly made Brendon's head hurt even more.
"Holly, stop talking! Let's go back first! Don't disturb Brendon's work!" Shannon had tears on herface and looked at Brendon with a soft and helpless expression. She said, "Brendon, I'm sorry... Wedidn't mean to disturb you. I'll take Holly back now, and we can talk when you come back tonight."
"Oh my god, Shannon, you're too kind-hearted!" Holly pouted and disagreed in a hurried tone."Brother, are you going to help Shannon or not?"novelbin
"What happened?"
Holly wasn't too stupid; she didn't mention what she did wrong but instead blamed everything onRanita. She said, "Brother, Shannon and I had nothing to do so we decided to visit Ranita. Butunexpectedly she started cursing at Shannon for no reason and even forbade her from staying atthe Boulderland Mansion."
"The worst part was that she accused Shannon of hiring someone to hit her car! She's too much;she invited some unsavory people herself but still blames it all on poor Shannon!"
As Holly spoke more quickly in anger, Brendon frowned deeply. "Ranita isn't like that."
"Brother... How could you side with Ranita? What will happen to poor Shannon? Her eyes havebeen swollen from crying all the way here; she keeps blaming herself saying that she wants to packup things and leave Boulderland Mansion." Holly asked angrily, "Brother, are you really going tomake peace with Ranita? What about Shannon?"
Brendon's face darkened.
"Holly, enough! This is adult business; stay out of it! Now go home!"
"Brother..." Holly wanted to continue speaking but was stopped by Shannon.
Shannon bit her lip weakly, "Brendon, and Holly, please don't fight anymore! It's my fault for living inBoulderland Mansion which isn't good. It's normal for Ranita having opinions about me. I will packup my things, and move out so as not make it difficult for you, Brendon."
"As for hiring someone hit her car, it really wasn't me ... I don't know the driver, and I never thoughtof hurting Rantia."
Her voice was already fragile, and after choking sobs, she looked at Brendon with innocent big eyesasking, "Do you believe me, Brendon?"
Brendon frowned again.
"Shannon, I believe you. Stay at Boulderland Mansion and rest until you're feeling better. Don'tworry about anything else," the man said, pausing before turning his cold gaze to Holly. "Holly, gowith Shannon and take care of her."
Holly pouted and tried to argue, but Shannon held her back.
"Brendon... I'm sorry for interrupting your work. Holly and I will leave now," Shannon said softly,tilting her head in a submissive gesture. "Ranita misunderstood me, that's why she said thosethings. So Brendon, don't fight with Ranita because of this."
"My heart will be restless."
