Ranita cocked her head slightly with a somewhat blank expression on her face.
"Rashid!" Brendon tightly reminded her of it. Ranita suddenly realized what he meant.
She cleaned off all the foam from her hands, picked up the phone, and walked over to the balconyto answer the call. They spoke in Arabic, and Brendon didn't understand much of what they said. Heonly knew that while talking and laughing, Ranita was watering plants on the balcony. She seemedhappy about something...
"What does he want?" Brenson blocked the door of the balcony, stretched himself tall like a doorframe, and asked curiously while following behind Ranita inside again
"Private matters."
She's brushing him off?!
Brendon got back into the kitchen with Rantia. He watched as the diligent girl continued washingdishes. Walking over, Brendon suggested, "You should buy a dishwasher."
"I don't use it often, and there's no need since there aren't many people around," Ranita didn't cookat home often... and... she was going to leave Kurima soon anyway, so this apartment was justtemporary.
"Why did the old man want you?" Brendon circled back to the question.
Ranita glanced at him and joked nonchalantly, "He wants to marry me as his third wife."
"Ranita... I forbid it!" Brendon raised his voice slightly. "You're not even officially separated from meyet, and you're already thinking about being someone else's wife?"
Ranita opened her mouth but swallowed her words back down. They finally had a chance to livetogether in peace; she didn't want to ruin the mood. She smiled with squinted eyes and said, "I'mjoking with you! Mr. Bassett said he'll come visit Kurima later and hopes to take me out for a meal."novelbin
"A meal?" Brendon paused before speaking sourly. "I don't trust his intentions."
"Mr. Bassett is my friend; he's given up on marrying me off already. Don't be angry," Ranita finishedspeaking before Brendon hugged her from behind.
"Really?"
"Yes!" Ranita pursed her lips and hid all of her emotions deep inside.
Brendon helped change her bandages before leaving for work.
As soon as he left, the doorbell rang. Ranita thought that Brendon had forgotten something so shequickly opened the door...
Smack! A shadow flew towards her.
A heavy slap came towards Ranita; an angry voice shouted sharply, "Ranita, you shameless slut!"
Ranita dodged but Holly's slap still landed on her neck causing her skin immediately turning redwhile also feeling hot!
"Holly! What are you doing again?!" Ranita slapped Holly backhand across the face squarely inretaliation.
"Ranita, how dare you hit me!" Holly was unreasonable glaring at Rantia ready for a fight!
Just then another figure rushed over pulling Holly away urgently saying, "Holly, don't be impulsive!"
"Shannon! Why are you holding onto me? Look what this bitch did! She dared hit me; I have gotteach this lesson!" Despite Shannon's attempts at stopping Holly, she charged towards Rantia againshouting insults like "Do you have no shame?! Do you love stealing other people's things? Doesbeing another woman give special sense of accomplishment?"
Holly yelled by the doorway while neighbors on their floor started peeking their heads out curiouslywatching everything unfold.
"Holly, what are you talking about..."
"Do you think I'm lying? My brother is with Shannon, and if it weren't for you seducing him, hewouldn't have come to stay with you overnight," Holly sneered, suddenly grabbing Ranita's collarand revealing a red mark. "Ranita, can't live without a man anymore? You're divorced and stillcrawling into my brother's bed. It makes me sick just saying it!"
