“What did that man want?” Adrian asked with a frown.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to share his sister with outsiders but he preferred people who were
extremely caring towards her.
“Old Mrs Scott is sick. She heard that I am back in the city and she wishes to see me in the
hospital,” Amanda answered lost in thoughts as she thought about the past.
“Will you go?” Adrian asked with a worried look on his face, but Amanda shook her head uponhearing
his question.
“I trusted her more than I trusted anyone else in that family but she is also the one that hurt me
the most. She asked Damien to divorce me as her birthday gift. She believed what Marie and theothers said instead of believing me. I don’t want anything to do with them. I want to live my life tothe fullest.” Amanda said as she sat down sadness in her eyes.
“If that’s what you have decided then I will support you fully.” Adrian said with a smile and inwardlyhe was pleased to hear her decision.
“Anyways, your birthday is around the corner, what’s your plans?” Adrian asked as he knew thatwhatever they planned would be fruitless if she didn’t side with them.
“What plans other than staying with my family on that day?” Amanda asked.
In the past four years, no matter how far she was from them, she would go back to be with herfamily on that day.
