Elaine was shocked when she heard the voice.
She turned around and she saw Lady Wilson sitting cross-legged on the bed as she pointed her fingerand cursed at her.
Lady Wilson really did not expect to see Elaine at the detention center.
Furthermore, Elaine was wearing the same prison uniform as herself in the detention center. It seemedas though she had just been arrested for committing a crime!
Elaine was also very flustered after seeing Lady Wilson and Wendy.
She really did not expect to be placed into the same cell as the both of them.
She had just been wishing that she would not end up in the same cell as the both of them but shenever expected herself to be so unfortunate.
Therefore, she hurriedly yelled out of the small window on the iron gate while the prison guard was stillnearby. “Comrade! Officer! Can you please switch me to another cell instead? I do not want to be in thesame cell as these people!”
The prison guard simply replied, “Do you really think that this detention center is your house? Do youthink that you can request to change your cell whenever you want to? If you do not want to live in a cellin the detention center, you should not have committed a crime. Why did you do it in the first place?”novelbin
Elaine hurriedly replied, “I have already explained it to you many times. The fraud was committed bymy son-in-law. I have nothing to do with this matter! If you want to, you should arrest him instead!Please let me go!”
The prison guard ignored Elaine’s cries for help and he simply said, “Stop talking so much nonsense.Based on the severity of your crime, I think that you will not be able to leave this cell for the rest of yourlife!”
After he was done speaking, he turned around and left immediately.
Elaine felt her heart gradually sinking as she watched the prison guard walk further and further away.
At this time, Wendy sneered before she said, “Elaine! You have just moved into the luxurious villa atThompson First and yet, you have not even spent one night there. How did you end up in the detentioncenter instead? Moreover, according to the prison guard’s words, it seems as though you’ve committeda very serious crime!”
Elaine turned around and looked at the grandmother and granddaughter who were staring at her. Shecould not help but feel that she was really very unlucky. However, she quickly calmed herself down andregained her composure.
What was she afraid of? It was just an old lady and a young girl that she had to deal with.
As she thought about this, Elaine snorted coldly, “What’s the matter? Are both of you making a joke outof me just because I am in this detention center with you right now? Let me tell you something. Even if Iam in this detention center now, I still have a villa outside! What about you? Do you have a home toreturn to after getting out of this place? I think that both of you will starve and die out on the streetseventually!”
Lady Wilson shouted angrily, “Elaine! Do you even remember your own last name? How can youpossibly be so arrogant when you are in the detention center?”
“Yes, what are you going to do to me then?” Elaine replied disdainfully, “This is not the first day that Iam being so arrogant. Are you unsatisfied with my attitude?”
After she was done speaking, Elaine continued using her venomous tongue to attack them as she saidcoldly, “Lady Wilson, after both of you are released from this detention center you are probably going tostarve to death in less than three days! However, Wendy will not need to worry about it. After all, shehas the looks to go out on the street to sell her body to support herself and make a living!”
Wendy exploded immediately, “Elaine! What did you just say?”
Elaine curled her lips before she said, “I said that you can go out on the streets to sell your body! Whatis wrong with that? Are you not convinced? Don’t you know your own place? Should I remind you aboutwhat you did with Kenneth Wilson and Jeffrey Weaver?”
Lady Wilson was trembling with anger, and she deliberately glanced at Gena before she pointed atElaine and said, “Elaine! It is really a shame for the Wilson family to have a daughter-in-law like you!”
As soon as Lady Wilson spoke, Gena could not help but explode in anger.
She stood up quickly and pointed at Elaine before she asked the old lady, “This is the trashy daughter-in-law you were talking about?!”
