Chapter 5303

At that moment, Charlie’s face came to mind, and Maria couldn’t help but say, “I think I might know whodid it…”

She paused, her brow furrowed with doubt.

“But… This kind of violent and brutal method doesn’t seem like his style.”

Mr. Cross mulled over her words for a moment before tentatively asking, “Miss, could it be… Theperson you mentioned before? The one who saved us? Mr. Wade?”

Maria furrowed her brow.

“When you first told me about Jarvis’ death, I thought it might be him… But when you mentioned thatthousands of people were massacred, including the Cavalry guards and their families, I knew it couldn’thave been him.

That kind of brutality doesn’t seem like something he’d do.

Besides, I saw him in Aurous Hill just a few days ago…”

Mr. Cross looked puzzled.

“Miss, what do you mean? Who could have killed Jarvis and destroyed the Warriors Den garrison?”

Maria replied with a serious expression, “There are a couple of possibilities.

It’s possible that Charlie is behind it, but he didn’t personally kill Jarvis.

Alternatively, it’s possible that the British Lord is lying about the details of the attack.”

Mr. Cross was taken aback.

“Miss, didn’t you just say that this kind of massacre doesn’t fit Charlie’s style?”

Maria nodded firmly.

“Exactly.novelbin

That’s why I think the British Lord might be lying about who did it.”

Mr. Cross looked confused.

“Are you saying this news might not be true?”

Maria shook her head.

“No, I believe that Jarvis really was killed.

But with such an important event, there’s no reason for the British Lord to deliberately lie and spreadfalse information to disturb morale.”

Maria shifted the topic, “But the dead soldiers stationed in Cyprus and the copper smelter in Turkey, Idon’t think they were all slaughtered by people as the Lord claimed.

Instead, I believe Charlie instigated them.”

Mr. Cross was perplexed, “How could that be? Even though the dead soldiers and Cavalry guardsdespise the Warriors Den the most, they are the least likely to betray the Warriors Den…”

Hearing this, Maria was puzzled, “The poison in their bodies is so potent that if they betray the WarriorsDen, they and their families will die within days! How could they commit such a fatal act?”

After a moment, Maria exclaimed, “You’re wrong! There is no antidote, and it is the key reason whyeveryone is afraid to betray the Warriors Den… Unless…”

She spoke gravely, “Unless someone can cure the Warriors Den’s poison!”

Maria became elated and exclaimed, “Charlie told those Cavalry guards who came to arrest me that hehad a way to neutralize the poison in their bodies! It seems that he didn’t lie!”

Marius was incredulous, “Miss, the poison has existed for hundreds of years, and nobody has beenable to cure it.

Does Charlie really have such an ability?”

Maria leaned forward with a confident smile on her face, “Every great discovery or achievement wasonce considered impossible, until someone came along and proved it otherwise.

It’s just a matter of time.”

She gestured towards the history of smallpox, “People thought it was incurable for thousands of years, until the vaccine was invented and we eradicated it from the world.

The same can happen with the Warriors Den’s poison.”

Maria then shifted the focus to Charlie, “With someone like Charlie, who not only can detoxify butdetoxify thousands of people, we have a real chance of cracking this code.

The Lord must be trembling with fear right now.”

Mr. Cross couldn’t contain his excitement, “This is incredible! If it’s true, everything could change.

It’s not just about the Warriors Den’s poison, but also the deaths of thousands of people overgenerations.

Charlie could put an end to it all.

The Warriors Den has enslaved and controlled them for too long.

With the antidote, they’ll rise up against their oppressors without a second thought! Once they receivethe cure, the very foundation of the Warriors Den’s reign will crumble to dust.”

“Yes!” Maria exclaimed with a laugh, “The Warriors Den’s control over the dead soldiers is a two-edgedsword that can kill a thousand enemies while injuring a few thousand of their own.

As long as their poison remains undeciphered, these dead soldiers not only dare not make mistakesbut also have no chance to do so…”

“Those who wish to make a mistake, the Organization only needs to withhold their antidote.

They are controlled and obedient, but their hatred for the Warriors Den runs deep.

Once they have the opportunity to detoxify and the resentment from generations past comes to thesurface, they will be the first to declare war on the Warriors Den.

So, whoever has the ability to detoxify the poison holds the Warriors Den in their grip!”

Maria let out a sigh, “I suppose the Lord is aware of this and fears being exposed.

That’s why the remaining dead soldiers were stationed and then instigated as a group.

All actions from the dead soldiers were halted as a result.”

Mr. Cross nodded in agreement, impressed by Maria’s analysis.

“But what about this Mr. Wade? Is he not a threat to the Warriors Den?”

Maria smiled wryly.

“Mr. Wade is powerful, but he’s only scratching the surface.

The dead soldiers and Cavalry guards he’s instigating are just the foot soldiers of the Warriors Den.

The real power lies with the governors of the five armies’ mansions and their confidantes.”

She continued, “And let’s not forget about the warriors trained by the Warrior Camp over the years, especially those from the Fifth Army Commander’s Mansion.

The number of skilled fighters there is anyone’s guess.”

Maria then pointed out, “Let’s not forget that there are still three of the four marshals remaining.

They may be the top fighters, but who knows if the Lord has more powerful fighters than them by hisside.”

“So even if Mr. Wade succeeds in instigating rebellion among the dead soldiers and Cavalry guards, the Warriors Den still has a formidable force to contend with,” Maria concluded.
