Chapter 5211

The following day had arrived.

Charlie arrived at Dr. Simmon’s Clinic promptly at seven o’clock in the morning.

The clinic had already put up a notice that it would be closed for the day, but Dr. Simmon’s Clinicplaque remained on the main entrance, while Master Vail’s Clinic plaque had been set aside.

Dr. Simmon had changed into a long gown earlier and was now waiting anxiously for Charlie’s arrival.

Upon seeing Charlie enter, he rushed towards him and exclaimed, “Master Wade, you’re here!”

Charlie acknowledged him with a nod before asking, “Has Xyla arrived yet, Master Simmons?”

Dr. Simmon spoke, “Master Wade, Xyla called me a moment ago and said it’s time.”

“Alright,” Charlie replied with a slight nod, then added with a grin, “Master Simmons, why don’t you goto the back and take a break for a while? I’ll wait here for Vail to show up at the door!”

Dr. Simmon asked anxiously, “Do you want me to wait here with you, Master Wade?”

Charlie waved his hand dismissively, “No need, I’ll call you when I need you to come out.”

“Understood,” Dr. Simmon nodded, cupping his hands to Charlie and said with respect, “Master Wade,I’ll be waiting for your call.”

With that, Dr. Simmon turned and walked towards the lounge at the back of the clinic.

Charlie stood up and fetched the plaque of Vail’s Clinic, laying it directly in front of his chair.

With a casual air, he sat back down and naturally placed his feet on the Vail’s Clinic plaque.

Soon enough, a tall, thin old man with a long beard stormed towards the entrance.

This was Master Vail, who had traveled thousands of miles from the United States to Aurous Hill insearch of clues to the Rejuvenation Pill.

Upon arrival, he noticed that the plaque of Dr. Simmon’s Clinic still hung prominently above theentrance, causing his expression to twist in displeasure.

With his hands clasped behind his back, Master Vail strode into the clinic with large, purposeful steps.

The moment he entered, he bellowed loudly, “Dr. Simmon? You agreed to pack up and leave last nightand remove the plaque of Serene Medical Clinic.

Why haven’t you taken it down yet?”

Seated in his chair, Charlie observed Master Vail, noting that while the man lacked any visible aura, hepossessed a hint of true energy, indicating that he had attained the level of an eight-star warrior.

Charlie couldn’t help but feel a sense of admiration at the fact that a Taoist priest could possess thestrength of an eight-star warrior.

At that moment, Master Vail realized that his call had gone unanswered and grew increasingly irritated.

He demanded, “Where is Dr. Simmons? How dare he keep the signboard of his clinic up but hide andrefuse to meet with me?”

Charlie coughed deliberately twice, stretched his waist and stood up from his chair, appearingsomewhat dissatisfied.

He spoke up, “Why are you yelling so loudly this early in the morning? Did you get hit on the head anddamage your brain? If that’s the case, you should call 911 and go to the hospital’s emergencydepartment!”

Master Vail looked at Charlie, who had risen abruptly and furrowed his brows in suspicion.

He inquired, “Who are you?”

Charlie was still worried that Master Vail might recognize his father, so he replied slyly, “Why, haven’tyou seen me before?”

Master Vail gave Charlie a piercing stare and asked coldly, “Young man, I came here last time and Idon’t recall ever seeing you.

Are you a clerk here?”

Charlie shook his head, a smile playing on his lips, “No medical center can afford to hire me as a mereclerk.”

Master Vail’s frown deepened and he spoke impatiently, “I don’t want to waste time with you.

Summon Dr. Simmon immediately.

It’s almost eight o’clock and I intend to hang the plaque Master Vail’s Clinic!”

Suddenly, Master Vail remembered something and exploded, “My plaque? Where is it?”

Charlie grinned, pointing at the gilded plaque beneath his feet, which had been carelessly trampledupon, “You mean this one under my foot, right?”

The plaque of Master Vail’s Clinic lay on the ground covered in dust and shoe prints, with the gold paintcompletely trampled off.

Enraged, Master Vail pointed at Charlie and bellowed, “How dare you step on my plaque? You’reasking for a beating!”

With that, he raised his fist, ready to engage in a fight.

Charlie rolled his eyes and retorted sarcastically, “Wow, look at you, an old man bursting into a clinicand threatening people early in the morning.

You’re so imposing! Believe me or not, I’ll make you pay for your dignity!”

Master Vail sneered in reply, “You ignorant child, how dare you speak nonsense in front of me.

If it weren’t for the Supreme Purity, I would have already taught you a lesson!”

Charlie shot back with another sneer, “Oh, so you believe in the Supreme Purity.

You must be a Taoist priest, right? But what are you doing here, outside a Taoist temple, threateningpeople? Aren’t you supposed to be practicing martial arts and Taoism in your temple? You kill peopleand act like a priest who molested boys.

What’s the difference? Frankly, I don’t believe in your family’s Supreme Purity.

It’s a shame that someone like you comes from such an ancient teaching!”

Master Vail was accustomed to arrogance.

Over the years, he had earned a reputation as a Master of Taoism for his ability to refine low-levelelixirs that could enhance true energy.

Countless Taoists worshiped him and even many of China’s wealthiest people had become hisdevotees, offering large sums of money for his services.

He was like a star, shining brightly in the sky.

But he never expected that a seemingly powerless kid, who had not even trained in martial arts, woulddare to talk nonsense in front of him and belittle him!

Furious, he gritted his teeth and threatened, “You’re asking for death, boy! Don’t blame me for beingrude!”novelbin

With that, he swung a heavy fist at Charlie.

Charlie showed no fear and didn’t even bother to dodge.

Instead, he provocatively looked at Master Vail and taunted, “Go ahead and fight, but remember, astrong dragon can’t crush a local snake.

Believe me or not, with just one phone call, I can make you the most wanted man in Aurous Hill!”

Master Vail’s expression suddenly turned astonished as he realized the truth in Charlie’s words hethought, “This kid must be a local snake in Aurous Hill.”

While he wasn’t necessarily afraid of Charlie, he understood that he was new to the area and didn’thave any connections.

If he beat Charlie, the police would likely arrest him and that could cause him to lose his place inAurous Hill, delaying his most important purpose for being there!

Master Vail gritted his teeth and thought to himself, “I’ll let this kid live today, or else I’ll end up causinga big scene.”

With that, he withdrew his fist, stared at Charlie and said with a sneer, “Today must be your lucky day, boy.

I don’t want to cause a scene here.

Otherwise, based on your disrespect towards me, I would have sent you to meet your maker!”

Charlie rolled his eyes and continued to mock Master Vail, “You talk a big game, but thankfully youdidn’t do anything! Otherwise, I would have knocked you out and you’d be holding your crotch, claimingI didn’t respect you!”
