Chapter 5206

At three o’clock in the afternoon, a direct flight from Aurous Hill to Hong Kong took off from the airport.

Angela sat on the plane lost in thought, watching as Aurous Hill grew smaller and smaller outside thewindow.novelbin

Memories of her first meeting with Charlie flooded her mind, and she couldn’t help but reminisce aboutthe details.

Today, she had seen Charlie walking with Nanako, and though it had made her feel a twinge ofinferiority, it hadn’t dampened her love for him.

All she could think about now was how time couldn’t pass quickly enough until the day she startedworking at Aurous Hill University.

She had already decided to call Charlie as soon as school started and let him know that she was onher way to Aurous Hill.

Angela had made up her mind to meet Charlie and tell him about her enrollment at Aurous HillUniversity.

Even if he wasn’t pleased with the news and even if he decided to leave Aurous Hill, she was ready forit.

This was her chance to experience life in this world, and she was determined to make the most of it.

As her plane flew farther away from Aurous Hill, another plane slowly landed on the airport runway.

It had flown all the way from Madagascar in Africa, spanning a distance of 10,000 kilometers.

On board was Lord Banks, the patriarch of the Banks family and a prominent landowner inMadagascar.

He had received an invitation from his son and had come all the way to Aurous Hill to attend theupcoming wedding.

When Lord Banks learned that his son was going to marry Kairi, his first thought was one of surprise, followed by a sense of relief.

He wasn’t relieved because he was pleased with Kairi, but rather because he was tired of seeing hisson grovel like a dog in front of Deana all these years.

It was no secret that Deana had only agreed to marry Zayne because she had begged Bruce to allowit.

At first, Lord Banks had opposed his son’s marriage to Deana, but Zayne had been so determined tomarry her that he had eventually given in.

However, even after all these years, Lord Banks couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasunresolved.

Finally, after more than twenty years, his son had ended his unhappy marriage with Deana and hadmarried Kairi, who loved him wholeheartedly.

In Lord Banks’s eyes, this was the best outcome for Zayne.

But upon further reflection, the old man couldn’t help but feel that something was not quite right aboutthe situation.

Kairi, after all, was a disabled person, missing an arm.

It didn’t seem quite fitting for the young mistress of the Banks family to have such a disability.

But what Lord Banks didn’t know was that Kairi’s missing arm had already been miraculouslyregenerated.

The plane glided to a stop as Zayne and Kairi waited anxiously in the hangar, eager to greet the arrivalof Lord Banks.

They arrived early, knowing that the old man’s visit was of great importance and didn’t want to riskbeing late.

Kairi’s hands trembled nervously, unsure of what to expect. She couldn’t help but worry about whetherLord Banks would approve of her as his son’s future wife.

Would he deem her unworthy and berate her for not being good enough for his son?

The thought made her anxious and uneasy.

Zayne noticed Kairi’s nervousness and leaned in to whisper in her ear, “Don’t worry, when I spoke tomy father about our marriage, he didn’t express any dissatisfaction,” he reassured her.

Kairi responded with anxiety, “I know his character, he can be unpredictable and likes to attacksuddenly.

I’m afraid he will be displeased…”

Zayne smiled reassuringly, “No need to worry.

The old man is not the all-powerful figure he used to be.

These days, his mind is occupied with raising horses.

When I told him about our wedding and invited him over, his first reaction was to calculate the time.

Apparently, he recently bought a horse farm and there are a few mares that are about to give birth.

He doesn’t want to miss the birth of the foals.”

Kairi watched nervously as Lord Banks disembarked from the plane, wearing short sleeves and bigpants.

She couldn’t help but hold her breath as he approached, unsure of what his reaction would be to her ashis future daughter-in-law.

However, her anxiety dissipated as he approached them with a big smile and friendly wave.

Zayne noticed his father’s happy demeanor and whispered to Kairi, “See? The old man seems to be ina good mood.”

He stepped forward and greeted him with respect, “Father, your journey must have been exhausting.

You have worked tirelessly.”

Lord Banks shook his head and gestured with his hand dismissively, chuckling, “Nonsense, it was nowork at all.

I lounged about, ate my fill and slept like a baby.

Where is the hardship in that?”

Kairi, who had been watching the exchange, approached Lord Banks and bowed respectfully.

“Hello, Master Banks”

A warm smile graced Lord Banks’ face as he spoke, “You two are about to be married, there’s no needto address me as Master.

Besides, I am no longer the head of the Banks family.

You may call me Uncle since I am older than your father.

Save calling me Dad for the day of the wedding.”

Kairi was pleasantly surprised by Lord Banks’ friendly demeanor and felt at ease in his presence.

Zayne breathed a sigh of relief and gestured towards the sleek Rolls-Royce parked nearby.

“Shall we head to the hotel, Dad?” he asked.

“Very well,” Lord Banks replied with a nod of his head.

Kairi, who was standing nearby, wasted no time and hurried over to the car door, opening it with grace.

She gestured towards the vehicle and spoke with respect, “Please, Uncle Banks.”

Lost in thought, Lord Banks instinctively moved to enter the car when he suddenly noticed Kairi makingan unusual gesture with her hands.

His face contorted in bewilderment and confusion as he pointed to her right hand and barely mumbledout, “Kairi… You… Your… What’s with your right hand?”
