Chapter 5155

Hearing Gerard’s words, Angela was relieved.

At that moment, she couldn’t resist muttering, “Dad, why didn’t you tell me that Grandpa and GrandmaCole were coming? I could have prepared some gifts in advance.

Now, I’ll have to go to their home without anything.

How embarrassing.”

Gerard smiled and said, “If I told you, your character would have made you not want to go.novelbin

You would have said that it’s just an interview and that it’s best not to bother others by bringing it up.

I know you well, don’t I? I’m your father.”

Angela was momentarily speechless as she reflected on her father’s words.

She knew they were true, given her personality and her tendency to clash with her father.

Perhaps she wasn’t thinking clearly at the time.

So she responded, “Alright, I’ll visit Grandpa and Grandma Cole first.”

Gerard smiled and said, “That’s great! Have a good meal with them, and when the interview is done, I’llmeet you at the airport.”

Angela said absentmindedly, “No, I’ll drive to the airport and drive back by myself.”

Gerard replied nonchalantly, “That’s fine, I’ll arrange for someone to take care of the car for you.

Bye.”

Before Angela could respond, Gerard had already ended the call.

Although she felt helpless, Angela knew that once her father had made a decision, he would dowhatever it takes to make it happen.

It was just a matter of picking her up from the airport, so she didn’t need to be too resistant.

With that in mind, she put away her phone and said to Michelle, “I apologize, Sister Michelle.

I misunderstood you just now.

I hope you don’t mind.”

Michelle smiled and said, “Why are you being so polite, Miss Lombardo?”

She then gestured towards a Rolls-Royce parked nearby and said, “The car is over there.

Let’s go, Miss Lombardo.”

The two got into the car and it drove off towards Zilian Mountain Villa.

On the drive, Angela kept looking out the windows on either side.

Michelle, seated in the passenger seat, turned to Angela and asked with a smile, “Is this your first timevisiting Aurous Hill?”

Angela nodded slightly and replied, “Yes, I haven’t been here before.”

“I heard from the boss that you’re here to apply for a job at Aurous Hill University,” Michelle said.

She then asked, “May I ask why you chose to come here from Hong Kong? In terms of citydevelopment, Aurous Hill can’t compare to Hong Kong.”

Michelle’s question made Angela think of Charlie.

She came to Aurous Hill for Charlie, but she wasn’t sure what the outcome would be.

However, Angela believed in putting actions before words.

It’s not in her character to discuss things without taking action first.

But Angela didn’t want to reveal the real reason, so she told Michelle, “I’ve been in Hong Kong for toolong and it’s time for a change.

Mainland China’s first-tier cities are too fast-paced for me, so I wanted to find a more relaxed place andthat’s why I chose Aurous Hill.”

Sister Michelle agreed and said with a warm smile, “The lifestyle in Aurous Hill is indeed less hecticcompared to first-tier cities.

The environment here is also quite tranquil.

I’ve lived here for several years, and I like it more and more every day.

I’m sure you’ll feel the same after spending some time here.”

Then, Sister Michelle added, “If you ever choose to stay in Aurous Hill for your future, please don’thesitate to reach out to me.

If you need any assistance while you’re here, I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

After giving her a business card, Michelle said, “This is my business card, feel free to contact me if youneed any help.”

Angela took the card, thanked her and asked, “Sister Michelle, if I plan to stay in Aurous Hill and buy ahouse near the school for daily living, do you have any recommendations?”

Michelle asked with interest, “What type of property are you looking for, Miss Lombardo? A villa or anapartment?”

“It could be anything,” Angela responded, “It doesn’t need to be too big.

Ideally, it would have a higher floor so I can enjoy the view.”

After some consideration, Sister Michelle recommended, “The best real estate in Aurous Hill City isThompson First Villas.

This residential area has a variety of floor plans, including high and low floors, and they are all finishedand ready to move in…”

“The homes available for sale are already built, so what you see is what you get.

The villas in this area typically range from tens of millions to over one hundred million, while theapartments are priced between ten million to twenty or thirty million.

It’s also close to the university and just a ten-minute drive away.”

“Thanks, Sister Michelle,” Angela nodded, expressing her gratitude.

“I’ll keep Thompson First in mind.

I’ll check it out once I receive my acceptance letter.”
