Chapter 5151

Charlie had rescued Mrs. Treadway and her son, but he felt grateful to Mrs. Treadway as she hadgiven him her ancestral phoenix vine bracelet without hesitation.

Initially, he believed that Mrs. Treadway was unaware of the bracelet’s rarity and value as an ancestralitem.

However, after their meeting, he realized that Mrs. Treadway was fully aware of the bracelet’s worth.

The Treadway ancestor’s relationship with Lord Morvel was close and meaningful.

In the past, Lord Morvel obtained a phoenix vine bracelet from the Treadway family ancestor and kept itby his side for many years.

He even gifted the ancestor with two Rejuvenating Pills.

Lord Morvel’s actions showed his willingness to repay the ancestor’s kindness.

He went further by offering a chance for the Treadway ancestor to seek longevity before they partedways.

Charlie believed that the ancestor played a significant role in Lord Morvel’s life.

The events of the past were well-known in the Treadway family and Mrs. Treadway was aware of them.

Despite this, when she was in Mexico, she chose to give him the phoenix vine bracelet as a token ofgratitude.

This made Charlie feel thankful.

Additionally, the phoenix vine was not only useful for refining twenty reshaping pills but also played asignificant role in refining high-level pills in the future.

The reason behind Charlie’s actions was his gratitude towards Mrs. Treadway.

He wanted to ensure that she and her son lived comfortably, free from worries.

Once the villa and shop were arranged, Charlie felt a sense of relief. Isaac had also instructed thesubordinates of the Wade family in Sterling to discreetly look after Mrs. Treadway and her son to thebest of their ability.

When he was done making sure everything was in place, Charlie said goodbye to Mrs. Treadway.

After Mrs. Treadway expressed her gratitude repeatedly, Charlie and Isaac left the community andheaded to Sterling Airport.

They traveled overnight to return to Aurous Hill.

Isaac, who had been driving all day, fell asleep on the comfortable flat seat as soon as the plane tookoff.

Charlie, on the other hand, was not tired.

He retrieved the painting given to him by Mrs. Treadway, placed it on his legs and slowly unrolled it.

The picture revealed Lord Morvel with the fairy wind and crane bones once again.

Charlie first encountered the painting at the old home of the Treadway family.

It was hung high on the wall and the lighting was low.

When Mrs. Treadway related stories from the past to Charlie, he was quite distracted and didn’t have achance to fully examine the painting. However, now that he had the chance to look at it closely with theaid of the reading light on the plane, Charlie was even more amazed by the painting’s masterfultechnique and captivating beauty.

In ancient times, emphasis was placed more on charm than reality in art.

Most renowned ancient painters were not known for their realistic style.

Landscapes, wildlife, and figures all prioritized an attractive charm.

The paintings by the Treadway family ancestors, although following traditional Chinese paintingtechniques, had an attention to detail that made Lord Morvel in the paintings seemed incredibly lifelikeand vivid.

Even the wind-blown long beards were depicted with great realism.

It’s possible that inscriptions on paintings were not a common practice in the Tang Dynasty.

Charlie was convinced that if the painting was to be made known to the public, it would cause asensation in the art world due to its unique style. The public’s recognition would result in a reevaluationof the ranking of famous painters from the Tang Dynasty.

However, he had no intention of bringing the painting to light.

He made up his mind to keep the painting safe and treasured. Charlie was determined to keep thecontents of this painting hidden from others.

As he was about to put it away, he suddenly felt a slight aura fluctuation coming from the scroll.

This made him shiver in surprise!

According to Mrs. Treadway, the painting was created by her ancestors in their later years.

Given their advanced age, they must have parted with Lord Morvel a long time agonovelbin

The Treadway family ancestor lacked the ability to control reiki, so he couldn’t possess any even aftertaking two Rejuvenation Pills which allowed him to live longer than normal.

This implies that the painting he created later in life shouldn’t contain any reiki, but surprisingly, therewas a very subtle energy trace present in the painting.

Charlie couldn’t help but wonder as he mumbled, “Could it be that this trace of aura was left behind byLord Morvel? Perhaps the Treadway family didn’t realize that Lord Morvel returned for a certain time.”

With this thought in mind, Charlie immediately relaxed and used his reiki to scan the entire painting, searching for the source of the aura.

He soon discovered that the source of the aura was on the head of Lord Morvel’s portrait.
