Franklin had already prepared the stock transfer agreement, so he just pushed the contracts to Hayden
and said, “As long as you can sign this paper, I’ll pretend that nothing has happened, including these
photos and what happened today.”
Then there was a long time of silence in the break room.
Franklin acted like he’d controlled everything and was smiling at Hayden contemptuously the whole
time.
After a while, Hayden tried to force down her trembling and signed her name stroke by stroke.
Pulling two contracts from her hand, Franklin quickly signed his name and put one of them on the desk.
Knocking on the table, he then said, “I will remit this money to you as soon as I got enough cash flow.

‘He is never going to give me this money.’ Hayden thought inside.
She then said indignantly, “Whatever.”
Now that Franklin had her nude pictures, Hayden really had no choice but to follow his order.

When it was night at the Beckhams’ mansion, Magnus put a stack of files on the desk and said
nervously, “Mr. Beckham, I’ve looked up and found that this Pola is not actually a child psychologist.
Her whole identity is all fake.”
Joseph’s eyes turned cold and said, “Continue.”
“Her name is Lola Holmes and was an assembly worker at a clothing factory in Nanking before, but she
suddenly quitted her job two months ago. Her colleagues said that she seemed to have gotten herself a
sugar daddy. But when I met her, she was attending her husband in the hospital.”
“Where is her husband?”
“He also used a fake identity.” Scared to continue, Magnus’s face turned pale. “Both Lola and the guy
who was pretending to be sick in the hospital had all fled and just disappeared. I can’t find them now.”
Joseph was livid with anger and questioned, “Why would she know Noah’s birth secret?”
“It... it might... might be that...” Sweating profusely, Magnus stuttered, “It might be that Caesar leaked

enemies, I thought it was just an accident back then, but...”
Joseph suddenly threw all the papers on the desk to the ground. One of the folders even hit Magnus’s
calf, but he dared not to show it and can only try to suppress the pain with his teeth clenched.
“Stop whatever you’re doing right now and look into what happened that year, the cause of Caesar’s
death and who is behind all of this wholeheartedly. How come that you didn’t see this coming!”
Tough Joseph was always indifferent, but he seldom lost his temper, so he was really furious today.
Magnus hurriedly nodded and said, “I’ll definitely get to the bottom of it.”
“Also, that guy named Lyon, have you looked into him yet?” Joseph asked with his fist clenched.
“Yes. He flew back to Melbourne this morning.”
Joseph eyes were bottomless like an unfathomable abyss.
He then said coldly, “Three days. Bring him to me.”
Magnus can just nod and didn’t dare to ask more, though he would probably need three days just to fly
to Melbourne and fly back.
“Get out.” Joseph said indifferently.
Magnus immediately left the study, leaving Joseph alone.
Reading an anonymous email with just several sentences, Joseph’s face darkened.
“I know what I did is unforgivable on the night of 24th, December, but I swear that nothing happened
between us at the Nanking Hotel. You should trust her and protect her.”
Looking at “Protecting her” these two words, Joseph felt incredibly distressed.
Joseph had a hunch that what happened last night was not that simple as it may look like on the
surface. Remembering what happened these days, Joseph’s eyebrows furrowed.
A lot of weird things had happened since Caesar’s sudden death in Lanxi Town and they all seemed to
be targeting he and Hayden.
Then his phone was suddenly ringing, “Joseph... can you get in touch with Hayden?” Dante said
hurriedly through the phone.
“I was just calling Anna and heard the sound of car crashing. Then I just can’t contact her. News said
that there was a major accident on the overpass which Hayden and Anna took on their way to sign the
contract.”
“What did you say?”
“I’m not sure, but I can’t reach Anna and Hayden now.”
Joseph immediately stood up and went out without even grabbing his jacket.
While Magnus was about to start the car outside the mansion, the back door was suddenly opened and
he immediately saw Joseph’s horrifying face.
“Start driving.”
The emergency room in the hospital was jammed with people.
Because of the snow, there was a multiple car pile-ups on the overpass which led to the injuries of a lot
of people.
“Live here on Nanking News. Because of the sudden snowstorm, there is a car pile-ups on the
overpass. The original cause is the malfunction of a van’s brake. We haven’t gotten the full name list of
the injured. But three people are confirmed dead...”
Magnus practically ran every red light on the way to the hospital. By the time they got to the hospital, it
was pretty chaotic at the door.
Magnus suddenly heard the sound of car opening before he can even stop the car which scared him
greatly. Joseph immediately got off.
“Sorry. The subscriber you dialed can’t be connected for the moment, please redial later.”
Anna and Hayden’s phones were both unavailable. Looking around hurriedly, Joseph can only see
stretchers passing through him one by one.
“Excuse me, excuse me...”
“Dr. Miller, the patient needs cardiac pacemaker immediately. He is about to...”

“I’m looking for Hayden Downey.” Joseph asked the nurse at the Duty Counter loudly.
