Chapter 316 Milk Tea

In Green Lemon’s studio, Dante was still busy designing. He had always been a night person. His

apprentice Anna, however, already exhausted from her day job, was yawning all the time.

Footsteps coming from outside the studio broke the silence of the night.

“Who is it?”

Scowling, Dante took a glance at the door. Anna was shocked by his sudden question, rubbing her

eyes, she was now less sleepy.

“Miss Downey.” She espied Hayden for n instant.

Hayden nodded as she entered the studio. The lights shed on her, rinsing the darkness obscuring her

image off her.

She hadn’t gone home ever since she left the party because she’s certain that Joseph would definitely

be there. And she couldn’t talk to him about Pola yet.

She seated herself on the couch while Anna poured her a cup of tea.

“Just came back from the party?” Dante broke off his designing and came sitting down across from

Hayden.

Faintly, Hayden nodded an agreement.

“Why are you so down?”

Dante studied her, frowning. “Did someone annoy you?”

“Sort of.”

Hayden took a sip of the tea that Anna served her. Freshened, she asked Dante.

“What the hell is wrong with men, huh? A conniving bitch can always get you with just a little trick.”

“Come on, you are being biased.” Dante understood her insinuation instantly. “I can’t speak for others.

But Joseph? Handsome and rich, he’s got girl coming on to him like iron being attracted by magnet.

Even so, I’ve never seen him relent for any girl.”

Frowning, Hayden refuted. “Never? He’s as submissive as a puppet now.”

He believed whatever Pola said. How dumb is that?

“Impossible.” Dante waved his hand. “Joseph is like a giant iceberg that takes forever to melt. I have

never seen him smile to any girl except for you.”

“Why are you defending him?” Hayden snapped, rose to her feet. “Can’t I just find some place for a

moment of peace?”

“I’m just being realistic…”

Dante tried to explain and didn’t notice that Anna was making eyes to him.

Hayden left the studio before he finished.

She’d rather take a nap in a hotel than to listen to Dante’s hogwash.

“Did I do something wrong?” scratching his head, Dante was puzzled.

Anna put the tea before him. “You didn’t. But women don’t need your rational analysis when they’re

complaining to you?”

“Then what do you need.”

Anna gave him a glance.

“Need you to be on her side and cuss whoever upset her unconditionally.”

That night, Hayden felt like she’s a ghost.

She couldn’t go home. She went to her company for some consolation but Dante only put oil on the

fire. She wandered in the street purposelessly; the freezing cold chilled her to the bone. The merriness

and festiveness of Christmas in the air were a contrast to her mood.

“Hayden?”

A similar voice came behind her.

She paused a moment, and then whirled to see a flaky who covered his head with mask, scarf, hat,

sunglasses. By the sweat suit he‘s wearing, Hayden supposed he’s jogging.

She wouldn’t have recognized Lyon but for his distinctive voice.

“It’s really you?”

Lyon stepped forward, pulled his disguise down a little bit. “Hayden, what are you doing out here in

such a raw winter night?”

Hayden pause a second. “A stroll after dinner. What about you?”

“I’m jogging.” He smiled at her. “The hotel gym was too crowded. And I want to breath in some fresh

air.”

It’s nothing weird that he’s out here for a night jog since his hotel was in the vicinity.

However, Hayden studied him a while and pointed at his protections, asked suspiciously. “Fresh air? I

doubt that you can even breathe wrapping yourself in all these clothes. Are you trying to smother

yourself?”

“I didn’t have a choice.” He laughed as he grabbed Hayden’s arm.

“Want a drink?”

I didn’t have anywhere go anyway, Hayden thought to herself, it won’t do any bad just to kill some time.

“Cool.”

There was a milk tea store nearby. The waitress stared at Lyon for a long while when they were in a

queue.

Hayden thought the waitress recognize Lyon but wasn’t so certain because of the clothes Lyon covered

himself.novelbin

“Takeout or dine-in?”

“Dine-in.”

Lyon said curly.

The waitress flushed when she passed Lyon the cups, she whispered. “Are you Lyon?”

“I’m not.”

Lyon shook his head.

“You are Lyon!” the waitress insisted, “Could you sign me an autograph?”

Hayden and Lyon wouldn’t get out of here if he signed the autograph.

In haste, Hayden dragged Lyon behind her, smiling. “You think he sounds like Lyon too, don’t you? But

he is not Lyon, sorry. He’s just my brother, an accident left some scars on his face.”

They turned to left the store soon as Hayden finished.

The waitress had to be a crazy fan of Lyon’s, she yelled out. “He’s Lyon!”

it was weekend and the street was full of people. The waitress’s yelling immediately drew a lot of

attention.

Apparently, it’s not the first time Lyon got recognized by fans. He grabbed Hayden’s hand, “Run!”

He dashed out into the streets dragging Hayden.

The milk tea shop was a long distance behind them when Hayden realized.

Somebody might’ve leaked information about where Lyon lived, tons of fans had been lurking in the

vicinity. And now they’re all latched onto him. After running across several blocks, they still couldn’t get

rid of the fans.

Exhausted, Hayden dragged Lyon into a shop in haste.

“Hayden.”

“Shhh…”

Hayden muffled his mouth while they’re reclining against the wall. She didn’t withdraw her hands when

the fans had long past them.

“I need to rest a moment.” she bent, her hands on knees, gasping.

Lyon still kept silent, Hayden was confused. She raised her head to see if something was wrong, but

her face changed suddenly when she saw the sex toys on the shelf.

What are the odds? The store she entered to escape from the craze of fans was a sex product store!

“What are you looking for?”

The owner’s voice came from the counter.
