Joseph turned around and sorted her scarf. Looking at her increasingly plump figure recently, Joseph
quirked up the corner of his mouth.
Hayden didn’t know what he was smiling about. She then asked, “I also look great in this kind of scarf,
right?”
“Right.” Joseph nodded along.
For him, it’s better to lie in this kind of little things, because he was afraid that Hayden might want to go
on a diet if she knew that she’d gained a few weight.
“How about we go shopping?”
Hayden winked against the backdrop of a massive electronic board in World Trade Plaza which was
airing the ads of limited skin care products for Christmas.
The hotel which Hayden had dinner in was located at the most bustling place downtown.
They arrived at the World Trade Plaza street in a while. There was still a month till Christmas, but some
shops had already hung up all the holiday decorations.
Looking at all the neon lights, Joseph felt that this city had never been so hustling before. Holding
Hayden’s hand tightly, they went into the shopping mall.
“It’s freezing outside. I want to buy a hat, but I will sure keep wearing it and my haircut would definitely
be ruined.”
Hayden was constantly droning while shopping around.
Before they can even reach the hat counter, Hayden was attracted by Children Counter and had a
shopping spree with Joseph. The shopping cart was filled with kids toys and clothes.
“Noah would definitely look cute in this yellow hat. Ah, we should also buy a red one for Stella.”
Pushing the shopping cart, Joseph asked, “What about a green one? We would have a traffic light at
home.”
Glancing at him, Hayden asked in confusion, “Do you want to wear a green one?”

Though he loved everything that Hayden had ever bought, he didn’t have the courage to wear a green
hat outside.

authentic green. Then she tried to put it on Joseph’s head.
But Joseph took the advantage of being high. He just slightly straightened his back and pushed her
which she was unable to fight back.
A three-storied villa in the middle of J. Mountain in the west of Nanking was hidden in the forests.
The sound of a woman smashing things was coming out of that mansion, “Don’t touch me!”
Sitting on the couch, Viola looked furious and was rubbing her face with an ice pack. There were
ceramic pieces everywhere and every piece looked valuable.
“Okay, I won’t touch you.”
Standing aside, Franklin kept a distance from the sofa. There were two gruesome strips on his face
which were clearly scratched by fingernails.
“Nobody expected today’s accident would happen. I would change my assistants first thing tomorrow. I
swear they wouldn’t tip off anymore.”
Viola sneered, “Well, I don’t think it’s their fault. You just offered to let your driver send Hayden home,
then your crazy wife showed up and acted like a wild dog. Don’t you see the connection here? How
would you be able to fight against Joseph?”
Franklin frowned and suddenly understood Viola’s words.
“Was Hayden messing with me?”
“I’d long told you that she was not the na?ve chick that you met before. Don’t you see how much drink
she had in the dinner. She’s pretty shrewd.”
“This bitch!”
“I told you that if you wanted to acquire Downey Group to solidify your position, it would be useless to
woo her. She would only get in the way. You will have the possibility of acquiring Downey Group only if
she’s gone for good.”
“Are you saying that I should...”
Looking at Viola, Franklin gestured cutting one’s throat. “So I should get rid of her?”
“It would be to merciful to her.”
Viola sneered and threw the ice bag on the coffee table.
“People like Hayden are all aloof and lofty. Since she wouldn’t admit what happened six years ago, how
about we reuse that old trick and expose the whole thing to the press this time. When everything blows
up, I don’t believe she would be brazen enough to stay in Nanking. Moreover, Joseph would for sure
abandon her.”
Hearing her words, Franklin finally understood what Viola truly wanted. He then asked, “So you are
actually using me to get rid of your eyesore?”
“Well, I wouldn’t lie. But you can benefit from this plan.”
“Is that so? Why don’t you tell me about it?” Franklin let out a sardonic grin.
Viola stood up from the sofa and stepped on the carpet barefooted. She looked unworldly sexy and
curvy in that satiny scarlet sleep gown. The silk ribbon on her shoulders would slip off when she
walked. Though her face was still blue and black after icing, her eyes were as enchanting and arousing
as ever.
“Downey Group now is slowly blossoming. Do you really think Hayden herself alone can pull this off? If
she’s really this competent, why wasn’t she chosen before by the Downey Family? Joseph is the one
who is pulling all the stings and helping her. If you do as I said before, Joseph would for sure leave her.
Wouldn’t Hayden be a puppy then? You can do whatever you want.”
She looked sinister which Franklin loved to see. He would definitely entangle with her immediately
before, but this time, he wanted to wait and see what would happen.
“Well, it sounds easy. But do you know how much risk I would be taking if I do that? If Old Master
Beckham finds out, I would definitely be thrown out.”
“Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
Noticing that he was still hesitating, Viola stepped forward and screamed, “Ah...”
She fell off to the sofa after screaming.
“What happened?” Franklin frowned and focused on Viola.
There were dotted ceramic pieces on her snow-white feet which were faintly bleeding. Viola bit her
mouth in agony and leaned against the sofa. The way she gasped looked like a sick goddess to
Franklin.
He raced forward and held that pair of charming feet.
He then said lovingly, “Don’t move.”
Then he turned around and yelled, “Where is the maid? Bring the medicine over.”
“What medicine? I wouldn’t need that.”
Viola suddenly wrapped his neck and whispered to his neck, “You are my medicine.”
Franklin was long aroused. Seeing that she was so thoughtful, he hoisted her up and walked towards
the second floor.
Nobody was in the lobby when the maid brought the medicine over. Then she followed a couple’s
entwining sound and saw all the clothes on the staircase.
She can vaguely hear woman’s erotic panting form the bedroom on the second floor.
“Ah… Franklin…now you would believe that I am doing everything for you, right?”
The man answered in a hoarse voice, “You are right, but I want to see how would Hayden solve this
crisis first.”
