Chapter 96

Chapter 96

What Mandy feared the most, more than the disgusting sensation, was not being able to live aprosperous life from then on. She would have to work hard, like everyone else, from nine to five andsave for a long time just to buy a designer bag. The thought of such a life terrified her.

Mandy imagined herself to be high and mighty, looking down on Rosalie. Now that Rosalie saw Mandygrovel into a rustic and fat man, the latter became even more enraged.

“Mandy, do you know her?” The middle-aged, short, and chubby man standing next to Mandy spokeup.

“Yes. She was just released from prison not long ago, and now she is just a sanitary workerl” Mandymaliciously revealed Rosalie’s background, then turned to Dexter, the manager, and asked, “When didImperial Restaurant start letting in sanitary workers?”

As Jonathan was facing away from Mandy at the moment, she didn’t see Jonathan’s face.

However, Dexter could see Jonathan’s face.

At that moment, he was trembling with fear, wishing he could immediately kick Mandy out of therestaurant.

“So what if she just got out of prison? So what if she is a sanitary worker? As long as it is someone Mr.Youngblood wants to bring in for a meal, even a street beggar can come in,” he thought.

“Who is permitted to eat in our restaurant is none of your business. Please apologize to this younglady!” Dexter said to Mandy.

Mandy suddenly felt like she was about to explode with anger. “Apologize to Rosalie? Seriously?” shemused.

“Do you no longer want your job?” she asked angrily. She then leaned against the middle-aged mannext to her and said, “Mr. Zeller, this person actually wants me to apologize to a sanitary worker. Hehas gone too far!”

Robert Zeller was about to say something to defend Mandy when he heard a cold voice say. “What isthe big deal about apologizing? Even if I ask you to kneel, it is only right.”

Hearing that, Robert was taken aback and looked up to see who had just spoken. The next second, hisexpression abruptly changed.

It was none other than Jonathan, the CEO of the Youngblood Group.

Robert had seen him once at a business conference, but due to his low status, he was unable toapproach Jonathan for a

conversation.

Deep down, Robert had hoped to make connections and get to know Jonathan, but he never got thechance.

He never expected to run into Jonathan again in such a situation. And, based on the current situation, itwas clear that the woman by his side, Mandy, had already offended Jonathan.

Robert loved beautiful women, and Mandy had served him well during that time.

When Robert thought about how hard the spoiled and arrogant little princess tried to please him, he felta little proud of

himself.

Nonetheless, in comparison to offending Jonathan, Robert simply wanted to slap Mandy in the face..

“Isn’t she just looking for trouble for no reason? Of all people, she has to insult someone close toJonathan,” he remarked mentally.

“M-Mr. Youngblood, it’s all a misunderstanding! A misunderstanding!” Robert uttered repeatedly. Sweatwas beading on his forehead.

“A misunderstanding?” Jonathan cast a cold, glance at there would be a lot more of them.”

bert. “If misunderstandings were that simple to occur in this world,

Robert’s face immediately darkened, and his flabby body could not help but tremble.

In the meantime, Mandy stared blankly at Jonathan. She had no idea who that person was, but the wayRobert treated him suggested that he was of high status.

It was only then that she realized Rosalie had been holding hands with that man the entire time.

No matter how clueless Mandy was, she knew that she had shot herself in the foot.

She pondered, “When did Rosalie meet such a good-looking and wealthy man?” Mandy’s heart wasfilled with envy. Soon after, she realized that the more she looked at that man’s face, the more familiarit seemed to her.

It was as if she had seen him before.

Suddenly, Mandy’s eyes lit up, and she exclaimed, “Y-You are Rosalie’s boy toy, right?”

As those words were spoken. Dexter’s expression changed instantly. Robert was on the verge ofcollapsing, regretting ever knowing someone like Mandy.

Anyone in Strico who dared speak of Jonathan in such a way was courting their own death.

Jonathan gave Mandy a half-smile, but his gaze was icy.

“Mandy, what nonsense are you spouting? This person is Jonathan Youngblood, the CEO ofYoungblood Group!” Robert quickly explained.

Instantaneously, Mandy’s eyes widened in disbelief.

She couldn’t believe that the person in front of her was Jonathan.

“How is that even possible? How can Jonathan be with Rosalie? The person Rosalie accidentally killedin the car accident back then was his fiancée!” she wondered.

Mandy suddenly remembered an incident that happened before her family got into big trouble. WhenWilliam bullied Rosalie in a club, it was Jonathan who stepped in to save her.

At the time, everyone assumed it was because William had irritated Jonathan, resulting in Rosalie’slucky escape from him. But now it seemed that it was not a coincidence at all.

She could not help but feel a shiver run down her spine.

“B-But Rosalie “Mandy stopped and eventually shut herself up after meeting Jonathan’s cold stare.

A sense of fear arose from deep within her, warning her that if she continued speaking, her fate mightbe beyond redemption.

“Mandy, hurry up and apologize to Mr. Youngblood and this young lady!” Robert urged.

Mandy’s face was flushed with embarrassment as she looked at Rosalie, who had remained silent theentire time.

Being forced to apologize to Rosalie was a total humiliation for her. Even though she was unwilling, theman beside Rosalie was Jonathan. She did not have much choice but to comply.

Just as Mandy was about to swallow her pride and apologize, Jonathan casually said, “Then kneeldown and apologize.”novelbin

When Mandy heard that, her eyes widened again, and she felt a surge of rage rise within her. “Do youwant me to get down on my knees and apologize to her?”

“What if I do? Are you saying she is unworthy?” Jonathan responded lazily. “Whoever I want toapologize to her must apologize to her because I hold her in high regard

Mandy’s expression darkened as Robert urged, “Mandy, hurry up and kneel down to apologize. Youshould apologize properly because you were in the wrong!”

The problem was that everyone around them would see her kneel. If that happened, she would beunable to hold her head high in the future. Thinking of that, Mandy was in a dilemma.

Rosalie, on the other hand, felt as if she were in the middle of a meaningless argument.

Rosalie watched as Mandy appeared to be about to kneel before her and instinctively moved away. However, she could not move an inch because someone was pressing down on her shoulders.

“Rosie, don’t move. If she wants to apologize, let her apologize properly.” Jonathan whispered intoRosalie’s ear.
