Chapter 919

Chapter 919

“What’s wrong? You look troubled. Is it because of the child?” Rosalie asked.

“How can I not worry?” Lillian smiled bitterly. “My parents know about my pregnancy now. They wantme to decide for myself. Callum said he was willing to marry me. After much consideration, marryinghim is the best option I have. Not to mention the glory, at least my child will not be illegitimate. By then, everyone around me will feel jealous that I marry a rich husband, and no one will jeer at me.”

“But you still can’t make up your mind, right?” Rosalie noticed how worried Lillian was.

“Should I be with Callum again?” Lillian asked.

“Do you still love Callum?” Rosalie asked.

Lillian pursed her lips, thinking, “Do I still love him? I wouldn’t be so troubled if I no longer love him.Perhaps I’ll be able to abort this child without hesitation if that’s the case.”

Although Lillian didn’t answer, Rosalie was still able to guess the answer.

“I also know that Callum hurt you deeply back then, so I will support you in any choice you make. But Ihope that you can ask yourself whether you will regret it in the future,” Rosalie said.

“He asked me to give him a week, saying that he had important things to tell me. It’s almost a weeknow, but he didn’t come to see me, let alone tell me anything important,” Lillian said.

“He didn’t come to you, but you can go and ask him for an explanation. Didn’t you like making thingsclear the most in the past?” Rosalie said.

“Yeah, that’s what I used to do!” Lillian smiled lightly, then picked up the glass of water in front of herand drank it all. “Okay. I’ll go find him later and ask him!”novelbin

Looking at the decisive demeanor of Lillian, Rosalie felt Lillian was returning to her former self.

After eating something, Lillian planned to meet with Callum. Rosalie asked, “Should I send you there?”

“No. I drove here!” Lillian said.

“Are you still driving now?”

“I know what I’m doing. When my stomach gets bigger, I won’t drive,” Lillian said, “I’m different fromyou. You were carrying triplets back then. I have only one child and don’t need to take too manyprecautions. When I went to the hospital for an antenatal examination before, I saw about a womanwho had a big belly riding an electric scooter!”

Hearing that, Rosalie was a little nonplussed.

After saying goodbye to Rosalie, Lillian drove toward Callum’s mansion in Strico.

When the last prenatal examination was conducted, she learned that he was in Strico and had beenliving in that mansion.

Of course, she knew the mansion very well. She even drove there countless times before.

Looking at the time, it was almost eight o’clock in the evening. She reckoned Callum should have

returned to the mansion.

She wanted to meet Callum and tell him she was willing to take the risk. She wanted to marry him andbe with him again.

She didn’t know whether she would regret making such a decision in the future.

But she knew that if she didn’t bet on it, she would regret it in the future!

It was the mansion ahead. Lillian parked her car aside. When she was about to get off, she suddenlysaw another car passing by and parking at the door of the mansion.

The person who exited the car was none other than Madeline!

Lillian’s pupils suddenly shrank. She thought, “Why is Madeline here at this time? Didn’t she break upwith Callum already?”

Immediately after, she saw the security guards at the door of the mansion respectfully step aside. Oneof them took the key to the car handed over by Madeline and helped Madeline park the car. The othersecurity guard opened the iron fence gate and let Madeline enter the mansion.

Madeline didn’t even say anything to the two security guards. Obviously, that was something thathappened so commonly that both parties already formed a tacit understanding.

Looking at the scene in front of her, Lillian felt tears welling up in her eyes.

She almost got out of the car in a daze and walked toward the security guards. She wondered whyMadeline could get in, not to mention seemingly so used to doing so.

She wondered if Callum and Madeline were still entangled.

At that moment, the security guard who helped Madeline park her car came back. After seeing Lillian,he frowned, having recognized Lillian. He thought, “Mr. White brought this woman back to the mansiona few times previously.”

So, the security guard strode forward and stopped Lillian, “Hey, Mr. White doesn’t want to see anyonetonight. Mr. White instructed that no one is allowed to enter, no matter what. Regardless of what urgentmatters, everyone should be turned away.”

Lillian thought, “Everyone should be turned away?” Her heart shuddered. “Why did you let Madelineenter, then?”

“Ms. Tall? That’s different. Mr. White has been waiting for Ms. Tall for the whole night.” The securityguard smiled and looked at Lillian contemptuously. Compared with Madeline’s branded outfit, theclothes on Lillian naturally seemed much cheaper.

“That’s right. Ms. Tall has been frequenting lately. Speaking of which, she comes once or twice aweek,” the other security guard said.

“Maybe they will get back together again soon. After all, they’ve been dating for so many years.”

“That’s right. Ms. Tall stayed overnight almost whenever she visited. I think there a press conferencewill be held soon.”

The two security guards chatted. Listening to their words, Lillian felt her heart turning colder by thesecond.

She thought, “Once or twice a week? And she even stayed overnight every time she visited themansion? Callum said that he had never loved Madeline, but now he let her live in his mansion. Whatwas the important thing he wanted to tell me? Was he going to tell me about the relationship betweenhim and Madeline? Did he say that he was going to marry me just because I have a baby, or am I just

his backup all along? When he fell out with the Tall family, he spared me his attention, but now that heand the Tall family have mutual benefits to gain, he’s getting back together with Madeline?”

The two security guards looked at Lillian’s pale and dazed countenance. One of them advised, “Quitlingering here and harboring wishful thinking. There aren’t many commoners who can marry intoprominent families. Mr. White cares only for Ms. Tall all along. Otherwise, why would he get backtogether when she’s involved in that scandal?”
