Chapter 767

Chapter 767

“But I like my original name Jen Leighton. Mommy, can I keep being called that way?” Jenniferpleaded, her smiling face all scrunched up.

“Your brother’s name is Guillermo Youngblood, so your name should ne Jennifer Youngblood. Isn’t thatgood? Others will instantly know you and Guillermo are siblings. Haven’t you always wanted abrother?” Rosalie asked.

Jennifer tilted her head and asked, “Can I convince my brother to change his name to Guille Leightoninstead?”

“Then, why don’t you discuss it with your brother when you meet him?” Rosalie suggested.

“Okay!” Jennifer lifted her chin with the resolve of a little warrior ready to persuade her brother.

Lillian found her goddaughter Jennifer’s antics amusing. “Do you really like the name Jen Leighton thatmuch?”

“Yes, I do!” Jennifer nodded eagerly.novelbin

“Why? Is it because you’ve gotten used to it, and you’re not keen on changing your name?” Lillianguessed.

However, before Jennifer could answer, Rosalie interjected, “She just thinks that the spelling forJennifer Youngblood is more complicated than Jen Leighton. If I suggested changing it to Jenny, she’dprobably agree immediately!”

Lillian found it somewhat amusing, thinking, “So, she’s reluctant to change her name because it’s morecomplicated?”

However, the name Jennifer Youngblood was undeniably a bit challenging for a child to write.

Their ordered meals finally made their way to the table. Once Jennifer finished her kid’s meal, sheventured into the restaurant’s play area. Given its designation as a children’s restaurant, there wereample spaces designed for children to revel in.

As Jennifer played nearby, Rosalie and Lillian continued their meal, occasionally glancing at the playarea.

“Are

you planning to take Jen to meet Jonathan later?” Lillian asked midway through their meal.

“Yes, we’ll visit the Youngblood residence,” Rosalie replied. In reality, after regaining her memories, shehad attempted to call Jonathan. However, one of his numbers resulted in the phone being turned off,and the other was unreachable. “Maybe Jonathan’s phone has settings that block calls from unknownnumbers,” she speculated to herself.

Therefore, she decided to take Jennifer directly to the Youngblood residence.

“But Jonathan… He’s not quite the same as he used to be. Back then, when the Youngblood familyclaimed you were dead, he changed. The two times I met him afterward, he seemed different, notablymore distant. I think it was because of the news of your supposed passing,” Lillian said.

With a light chuckle, Lillian added, “I haven’t really bumped into Jonathan since then. As for Guillermo,it took quite an effort to find out about the kindergarten he attended. Trying to approach him proved

tricky, though. Guillermo usually had an entourage from the Youngblood family picking him up, makingit nearly impossible for me to get close.”

What Lillian did not mention was that once, when she tried to approach Guillermo for a conversation, the Youngblood family’s bodyguards promptly blocked her, seemingly worried she might uttersomething inappropriate.

Understanding Lillian’s discomfort with the Youngblood family, Rosalie offered an apology. “I’m sorry.”

“What’s all this talk about apologizing? There’s nothing you need to apologize for. You’re back, andthat’s all that matters. But, you should know, of the two kids Jonathan has now, only Guillermo isbiologically yours. The other one, Wrenna, is adopted. Her birth mother, Agyness, is rumored to have aclose connection with Jonathan. With you back, there might be some confrontation with that woman.”

Lillian felt it was necessary to give Rosalie a heads-up due to the sometimes baseless nature ofrumors.

“I know. I’ve checked the news online,” Rosalie replied, gently biting her lip. “If Jon has truly investedhis emotions elsewhere and doesn’t feel the same way about me, I won’t cling to him. But if I’m the onehe truly loves, I won’t give up on getting back to his side!”

After all, everyone believed she was gone. It would be understandable if Jonathan had found loveagain, even if it meant remarriage.

Yet, she could not shake the feeling that Jonathan, like her, would not be easily swayed by others.

In the years when her memories were lost, she encountered some remarkable men, and there wereeven some who held affection for her. However, she never experienced that flutter in her heart.

It was not until her memories gradually resurfaced that she understood. Her heart had long beenclaimed by a man named Jonathan, leaving no room for any other emotional stirrings.

“By the way, what about you? Any special someone in your life now?” Rosalie changed the topic.

“Not yet. My mother’s constant harping on me being an old spinster is enough to drive anyone insane.”Lillian shrugged, a bitter smile briefly playing on her lips. In these years, even though she did notconsciously try to remember Callum, his image would occasionally flicker through her mind. Perhaps itwas because her

time with Callum was so blissful that she could not muster the desire for romance, no matter the type ofman she encountered. Blind dates, too, proved to be a series of defeats.

“You haven’t moved on, have you?” Rosalie asked, looking at her friend with

concern.

“Trying my best to move on.” Lillian smiled. “If I can’t completely move on, I don’t mind being singleuntil I’m old and gray. Anyway, having your two children. take care of me in my old age will be enough.”

As she said this, Lillian suddenly halted, her gaze apologetic as she looked at Rosalie.

Rosalie’s expression darkened for a moment. “Two kids… Initially, I was expecting triplets. However, inthe end, one child stayed with Jon, and another with me. So, what about the third child? Where is he?Did the Youngblood family secretly conceal him? Or…” Rosalie’s thoughts raced.

Just then, Jennifer suddenly let out a cry of surprise. Rosalie tensed, only to see her daughter Jenniferduring a scuffle with a girl.

“Jen!” Rosalie rushed forward, attempting to pull Jennifer away. However, before she could reach her, another woman had already approached the two little girls and rudely shoved Jennifer aside.

With her small frame, Jennifer could not maintain her balance and tumbled backward. Luckily, thelanding was softened by a cushion, so there was not much harm done.

Rosalie quickly reached Jennifer’s side and helped her up. Lillian followed closely, expressing concern.“Are you okay, Jen?”

Jennifer shook her head, tears glistening in her eyes as Jennifer said while gesturing to the other girl,“Mommy, Daddy’s photo is broken, and she stole it.” It was then that Rosalie noticed Jennifer holdinghalf of the secretly taken photo of Jonathan that she had purchased at a high price.

“As for the photo thief…” Rosalie mused, glancing across. It turned out to be quite a coincidence;standing there were none other than Agyness and her daughter Wrenna, just as Lillian had mentioned.
