Chapter 765

Chapter 765

“Please excuse us,” Jonathan said.

Thus, the teacher left the room, leaving Jonathan and Guillermo inside.

Jonathan examined the puzzle his son was putting together, which had about a thousand pieces.

A puzzle piece like that would take a grown-up a great deal of time to complete. However, it seemedlike second nature for Guillermo as the puzzle grew swiftly under his hand. His mind barely needed toprocess his actions.

Jonathan figured out that Guillermo’s puzzle was a picture of two boys and a girl. The three childrenlooked like triplets. Jonathan wondered, “Is he thinking of his younger brother and sister?”

Carlos had told him he had a wife named Rosalie, who was pregnant with triplets. when he woke up inthe hospital. Unfortunately, she ended her life by jumping into the ocean, and only one of her childrensurvived.

Jonathan had no idea how Guillermo had found out about the triplets when he was a bit older, stubbornly believing that he was supposed to have a younger brother and sister.

Jonathan also found it strange. “Why do they have to be a boy and a girl? Can’t they be of the samegender?” he asked.

“It’s just the way it is,” Guillermo replied in his childish voice as if having a younger brother and sisterwas the most natural thing in the world.

There was a momentary silence as Jonathan sat next to Guillermo and watched him complete hispuzzle before saying, “Daddy can adopt another younger brother for you if you’re so keen on having

one.”

After all, Jonathan’d adopted a daughter only because Guillermo suddenly wanted a younger sisterafter seeing Agyness and Wrenna being severely bullied on thenovelbin

streets.

So Jonathan sent someone to propose that if Wrenna agreed to become his adopted daughter, Wrennawould receive full financial support from the Youngblood family until she reached adulthood. TheYoungblood family would also protect Wrenna, ensuring she would never be harassed as long as shedidn’t cause any trouble.

Moreover, Wrenna would be Jonathan’s adopted daughter in name only, as she would not have to beseparated from Agyness or move into the Youngblood residence. The Youngblood family would buy aseparate mansion for Agyness and Wrenna to live in, and a certain amount of money would bedeposited into Agyness’s account each month to cover child support.

As expected, the child support was not small. The 40,000 dollars a month covered

only the cost of living for Agyness and Wrenna, excluding Wrenna’s kindergarten fees, possiblemedical bills, or other major expenses.

Of course, Agyness and Wrenna couldn’t let such a fortunate opportunity pass them by, so theyimmediately agreed.

Still, Jonathan noticed that Guillermo didn’t seem particularly fond of Wrenna after she became theadopted daughter of the Youngblood family and only greeted her in passing. They never even played

together.

“It’s okay.” Guillermo shook his head. “I don’t want a younger brother of any kind.” Now that Guillermohad one, he knew what it was like to have a younger sister. Wrenna usually followed Guillermo like atimid little girl.

However, Guillermo noticed that Wrenna would brag to her friends about her belongings, claiming thatsome were gifts from Jonathan when the truth was just the opposite.

Having a younger sister was nothing special.

“Daddy, are you going to marry Ms. Sabatini?” Guillermo blurted out

unexpectedly and raised his head to look at Jonathan.

Guillermo looked almost identical to Jonathan, particularly his delicate features and jet-black hair.Guillermo’s fair skin appeared to be so supple that made people want to kiss it.

However, Guillermo’s shapely eyes were icy and seemed devoid of emotion.

Jonathan’s eyes narrowed slightly. He was surprised that even Guillermo had gotten wind of such arumor. It seemed like someone was having illicit thoughts. “No, I’m not going to marry her.”

Jonathan answered with absolute certainty.

“Oh.” Guillermo didn’t say anything more, and their conversation ended.

The housekeeper entered the room to assist Guillermo in washing up while Jonathan returned to hisstudy. He walked to one of his drawers and thought for a moment before slowly opening it.

Inside was a marriage certificate. It was now void due to the death of Jonathan’s wife, Rosalie.

Jonathan stared at the image of Rosalie on the marriage certificate. Rosalie’s pretty face had a gentleand peaceful smile that seemed like it could soothe one’s restlessness.

In Jonathan’s opinion, Rosalie’s features were pleasant at best and far from stunning, as he had metplenty of gorgeous women.

Yet Jonathan had once loved-Rosalie, and he married and have children with her.

Jonathan should have married a woman of equal status to the Youngblood family, like Melanie. So, howcould he fall in love with Rosalie who had been sentenced to prison?

Rosalie’s face was always a blur in Jonathan’s mind, even though he had bits and pieces of memoriesfrom that time. Although Carlos had told Jonathan that the woman Jonathan loved was Rosalie,Guillermo’s biological mother, Jonathan felt nothing for her.

Jonathan could roughly piece together what had happened between him and Rosalie from hisfragmented memories and the forgotten parts that Carlos had thoroughly filled him in on.

However, knowing it didn’t mean Jonathan harbored any special feelings for Rosalie.

In the end, it didn’t feel real when others told Jonathan he had once loved Rosalie.

“Rosalie, you still cast me aside in the end. I guess my love for you wasn’t deep enough because Idon’t remember you. Otherwise, how could I forget you so easily?”

Jonathan muttered and casually tossed the marriage certificate back into the drawer without a trace ofemotion.

A cute little girl, approximately five years old, was flipping through a stack of photos while on the bullettrain headed to Strico. She was Jennifer, Rosalie’s daughter. “Mommy, Daddy is handsome. Are yousure he’s my Daddy and not some random man’s photo you downloaded from the Internet?” Jenniferdirected her doubts at Rosalie who was in a flowing white dress.

“After all, you often mistake other people’s identities,” Jennifer added.

“It is true this time, Jen! I can confirm that Jonathan is your daddy!” Rosalie was speechless. “I guess Ihave a track record of being unreliable,” Rosalie muttered to herself.

However, it wasn’t Rosalie’s fault as she had lost her memory after falling into the ocean and wasalready in a hospital in Lofbury when she regained consciousness.

Someone paid for Rosalie’s medical expenses in advance and provided her with an ID card. Rosalie’sname was on it, but the rest of the information was not hers.
