Chapter 755

Chapter 755

Jonathan clenched his teeth tightly.

Leonard parented him. Naturally, he was the one who understood him the most. The former knew thelatter was oversensitive and would become anxious when it came to Rosalie’s matters. That was whyhe ordered Kurt to stay away for a while and then reappear.

That way, Jonathan would insist on meeting Kurt and interrogate him in person before he could restassured.

He pondered, “Grandpa, do you still want to trick me even when you’re dead? And what exactly wasthe bet you were making? Did you bet on whether I’ll sacrifice my life for a woman? Rosie… Sheabsolutely cannot come to harm!”

When Rosalie woke up, she was sitting in a car, with one of her hands securely bound to the steeringwheel and the other hand tied to the handbrake.

The car was parked on a cliff, with the rear half of the car hanging over the edge of the cliff. Only thefront was attached to the cliff, making it incredibly precarious. Any big movement inside the car orexternal force could potentially cause the entire vehicle to plummet off the cliff.

Below the cliff was the open sea.

Rosalie remained stiff, afraid to make any movement.novelbin

There was a phone placed upright in front of her, and on the phone screen, it was none other thanYvette, who was staring at her.

At that moment, both of them were on a video call.

“Rosalie, you’re awake!” Yvette smiled coldly. “Speaking of which, I didn’t expect the person I used tolook down on to one day become the lady of the Youngblood. family.”

“Yvette, what do you want?” Rosalie tried hard to suppress her fear and anxiety.

She only remembered being in her bedroom. Then, she somehow began to feel dizzy. So, she decidedto lie on the bed to rest for a while.

The next thing she knew, she woke up to her current situation.

Rosalie wondered, “So, my dizziness at that time was not due to tiredness but for some other reason? Now, am I being kidnapped by Yvette? But how is this even possible? Jon has arranged for manybodyguards to be stationed at the Youngblood residence and also enhanced the security system. Howdid Yvette manage to get me from there to this place?”

A series of doubts flashed in Rosalie’s mind, but it was not the time to think about that. She should bethinking about how to get out of there.

In the video call, Yvette responded quite openly to Rosalie, saying, “I want to see what kind of fateawaits you! Rosalie, since you’ve made me suffer so much, you

can’t expect to have a good outcome either.”

Yvette continued, “How about we find out shortly how much Jonathan loves you? Will he sacrifice hislife for you? And there are explosives buried around your car. If someone tries to rescue you later, notonly will they get blown up, but I guess you and the three babies in your womb will also end up in thesea.”

Every word Yvette said made Rosalie’s heart sink.

Rosalie knew Yvette was trying to kill her.

Rosalie calmed down and replied to Yvette, “If you release me, we can let bygones

be bygones. I can also persuade Jon to spare you and even have him help the Hamilton family throughthis crisis.”

What Rosalie needed to do now was try her best to make Yvette find these conditions enticing andcreate some hesitation. Only by doing so could Rosalie secure more favorable terms for her escape.

Yet, no matter what favorable conditions Rosalie proposed, Yvette seemed indifferent. “Rosalie, I justwant to know if Jonathan is willing to risk his life for you. When Melanie died, he didn’t shed a singletear! Don’t you want to know what he’s willing to do for you?”

When Yvette said that, a trace of hatred flashed in her

eyes.

Yvette resented Rosalie. She could not accept that she, the second lady of the Hamilton family, endedup like that because of someone as insignificant as Rosalie.

Back then, Yvette snatched Zachary away from Rosalie, thinking Zachary would love her deeply. However, it turned out that Zachary had discarded Yvette, just like he did to Rosalie years ago.

Yvette was the ideal person in the hearts of countless men. How could she be any less than Rosalie?Jonathan would surely abandon Rosalie like a discarded pawn sooner or later.

Besides, as long as Yvette followed the instructions of that “Mr. Wilmer”, the rewards she receivedafterward would be enough to allow her to live a carefree life abroad.

Right at that moment, several black cars pulled up one after another.

Rosalie only saw a lot of people getting out of the car, and Jonathan was among them.

At that moment, when Jonathan saw her and the condition of the car Rosalie was in, his face turnedpale in an instant, and he immediately rushed toward her. “Don’t come closer! There are bombs aroundthis car, and they will explode,” Rosalie quickly shouted, stopping Jonathan from running toward her.

Jonathan’s steps abruptly came to a halt, and the people following him naturally stopped in their tracksas well.

Rosalie breathed a temporary sigh of relief and gazed at Jonathan who was standing about some feetaway from her from a distance.

Little did she expect that in just a few hours, things would turn out like that. She should be grateful thatthe car’s windows were not rolled up so her voice could still be heard from inside.

“Rosie, don’t be afraid. I-I will get you out of here,” Jonathan said with his face. pale, and his handshanging by his side trembling slightly. At that instant, he seemed more scared than Rosalie herself.

There was an undeniable certainty in Rosalie’s mind, as she believed he could surely rescue her, andshe and the children would all be safe.

“It was Yvette who brought me here! My hands are tied to the steering wheel and handbrake. I can’tmove. She is currently on a video call with me,” Rosalie quickly explained her current situation toJonathan.

Rosalie could sense that Yvette was becoming increasingly unstable. It was clear that trying topersuade the latter through the video call to deactivate the bomb and spare her life had becomeimpossible.

Jonathan frowned, then suddenly pulled over Kurt, who was being held by the bodyguards. “Did youarrange for Yvette to do this?”

Kurt smiled. “Yes. After what you and Rosalie did to her, of course, she wanted to seek revenge.”

Jonathan pondered for a moment and then instructed his subordinates, “Call the police, and have thebomb disposal experts from the police station come over.”

“It’s too late.” Kurt added with a beam, “By the time the experts arrive, the bombs around this car willhave already exploded. Of course, if you don’t want Rosalie to die in the blast or end up in the sea likethis, you can choose to save her life.”
