Chapter 753

Chapter 753

At that moment, her body was extremely stiff. Every movement was like a robot, but she was still tryinghard to do it.

She stood on tiptoe and gazed at the handsome face just inches away.

The distance between them was so close that Rosalie could see Jonathan’s eyelashes and herselfreflected in his dark pupils.

With just a small step closer, she could kiss him.

That way, he would believe her.

Rosalie believed that she had truly forgiven Jonathan and would not leave him. He never knew howmuch she loved him and didn’t want to miss him.

Jonathan was the man in the world who loved Rosalie the most. No one else would love her as muchas he did.

The various truths of the past did indeed cause her unbearable pain. There was a fleeting momentwhen she even harbored resentment toward him. “Didn’t he also suffer from the torment?” shewondered.

When they had been together, he had said multiple times that if he ever made a mistake in the future,he hoped she would forgive him.

She wondered, ‘Could it be that he has been constantly afraid I would know the truth one day?

I will prove it through actions if that’s the only way…

Rosalie stood stiffly on tiptoe and drew her lips closer to his.

His breath almost covered her whole body, and his face kept getting closer, causing her body tobecome more rigid.

She closed her eyes and told herself, ‘He will believe me as long as I kiss him.

As long as I kiss him, he won’t misunderstand anymore.

Her heartbeat kept accelerating. When her lips finally touched his, her body suddenly shivered. Thenext moment, she abruptly took a step back, covered her lips with one hand, and rushed to thebathroom.

“Ugh… Ugh…” Rosalie hunched over the sink, vomiting.

She vomited almost everything she had eaten in the morning.

After a while, her vomiting finally stopped. She leaned weakly on the sink with both arms. Suddenly, asif realizing something, she turned and looked at Jonathan, standing at the bathroom door.

His tall frame stood silently by the door. With a pale face, his deep eyes carried a strong sense of self-mockery and pain. “Rosie, you can’t do it at all. Your body can’t lie.”

“No, I…” She hurriedly tried to explain, but he interrupted her.

“You said you’re willing to forgive me for the children’s sake, right? You don’t want them to grow up in abroken family, so you’re willing to forgive me! I know it, but… if there’s a little love in your forgiveness, how wonderful would that be?”

“It’s not because of the children that I’m willing to forgive you. It’s because I love you, Jon. It’s becauseI love you!” Rosalie shouted and forcefully suppressed the discomfort caused by the vomiting.

“Really?” He slightly narrowed his eyebrows and lowered his gaze. “If you really love me, then stay inthe manor and don’t go anywhere. We still have decades ahead of us…”

Jonathan said inwardly, “If your love for me has truly faded, I will definitely make you fall in love with meagain in the next few decades!”

Jonathan said, “I’ll have the caregiver come in to take care of you.” Then, he turned and walked out ofthe room.

Rosalie bit her lip and smiled bitterly, looking at Jonathan’s back.

He didn’t believe her at all.

Jonathan walked out of the room and clenched his fist.

When Rosalie had taken the initiative to grab his arm, encircling his neck as she leaned in for a kiss, she hadn’t been aware of how nervous and expectant he had been.

But… In the end, it was just another disappointment.

Despite her willingness to use that method to make him believe, her body’s reaction couldn’t lie. It stillrejected him, indicating that she hadn’t truly forgiven him.

But at least she was willing to lie to him, using that method to comfort his heart. He should be satisfiedwith that.

He said to himself, “Rosalie and me… had so much time ahead in our lives. Once we resolve ourcurrent issues, and after our children are born, I will have plenty of time to make her accept me again.”

Jonathan gave a few instructions to the caregiver and bodyguards waiting outside. Just then, Carlosrushed over and said, “Mr. Youngblood, there’s something urgent.”

Jonathan’s eyes flickered slightly. He waved to the caregiver beside him, prompting the caregiver toenter the room to take care of Rosalie quickly. Outside the room, Jonathan turned to Carlos and asked,“What’s the matter?” “I found Mr. Wilmer,” Carlos said.

Jonathan became tense and asked, “Where is he now?”novelbin

“He was found at Mr. Leonard Youngblood’s tomb. He went to pay his respects and tried to escapeafter being discovered, but our men stopped him,” Carlos

explained. “He is currently being held in a nearby house near the cemetery. Mr. Youngblood, do youwant to see him?”

“Of course, I must see him. After all, he was the closest person to my grandfather,” Jonathan saidcoldly. Kurt had been missing for several days, and his sudden appearance was undoubtedlysuspicious.

Besides, Yvette’s escape might have something to do with Kurt.

He couldn’t help but feel that the series of events seemed too coincidental.

“Let’s go.” Jonathan walked toward the stairs.

Carlos hurriedly followed.

A moment later, a black Bentley slowly drove away from the Youngblood residence.

The car arrived at a mansion near the cemetery. As Jonathan got out of the car, someone quicklystepped forward and said, “Mr. Youngblood, the person is inside, but he refuses to say anything unlesshe sees you.”

“Lead the way,” Jonathan ordered coldly.

The person immediately led the way for Jonathan. In no time, they arrived at one of the rooms.

Kurt was sitting on a chair with bruises all over his face. He had been beaten earlier.

When Jonathan walked in, a smile appeared on Kurt’s swollen face. “You finally came. I want to ask…Mr. Youngblood, why did you suddenly have me arrested? I haven’t done anything wrong to you!”

“Nothing wrong?” Jonathan raised his eyebrows and said, “You were the one who sent the email toCalvin on behalf of my grandfather about the truth of the case, right?”

“That was Mr. Leonard Youngblood’s order,” Kurt said.

“So, helping Yvette escape was also my grandfather’s order?” Jonathan asked casually.

Kurt put on an innocent expression. “I don’t understand what you mean, Mr. Youngblood. Yvette…escaped? I only saw it in the news that the police detained her.”
