“Jon…” The whimper she let out hit his heart hard as if it carried a massive weight.
He was surprised by that, as though all his senses were enveloped by her “Jon”
She raised her chin. A faint smile adorned her pretty face before she suddenly kissed him.
He looked at the woman before him in a daze.
Although he knew he could dodge the kiss and that she had probably done it with a clouded mind, hefelt reluctant.
He felt reluctant to refuse the kiss. When she kissed him, it made him feel obsessed.
While she was kissing him, he only received it passively.
She was probably the only person who could make him behave that way.
A strange feeling p erv aded his heart.
He had always been cold. Even if a woman got close to him, she wouldn’t be able to incite any of hisfeelings. However, the one before him was different.
Her kiss and her breath seemed to be a kind of delusion for him.
It was not until she called his name in a raspy voice that he returned to his senses abruptly. It dawnedon him that he had almost lost his composure earlier.

“Is there something going on between you and Jonathan?” Yvette suddenly asked.
Zachary suddenly froze and looked at Yvette with a pale face. “What are you talking about? What couldbe going our between Jonathan and me?”
“If that’s the case, why did you look so upset after talking to Jonathan at our engagement party thatday? Besides, Zendaya is injured. The loan application of the Xanthos family, which was rejected bythe bank earlier, was suddenly approved, too. All of these, are they connected?”
Yvette’s questions made Zachary’s complexion turn even more pale.

In truth, he no longer had feelings for her.

Yvette stared at Zachary and asked, “Is Zendaya’s injury related to Rosalie?”

Before Zachary could answer, a voice suddenly rang out. “It turns out that I was injured because ofRosalie!”
Zendaya limped over. She originally wanted to summon Zachary and Yvette back to the main hall anddid not expect to hear about that.
Speaking of the injury, she felt so aggrieved that her leg was broken and she had to suffer hardship inthe hospital. She even became a laughingstock among her friends.
Yet, she couldn’t find out who was the culprit of her injury nor attend her brother’s engagement party.
She still harbored anger toward that. That was why the moment she heard that Rosalie had sentsomeone to hurt her, she was furious and wanted to settle the score with Rosalie immediately.
“Zach, if you continue to speak up for Rosalie again, I won’t acknowledge you as my brother anymore. Idon’t know how long it’s going to take for my leg to heal. What if there were any after-effects? My legwas going to be crip pled by then. Zach, since Rosalie asked someone to hurt me, I’m going to crip pleher leg in return. Otherwise, I’m not worthy of my name!” Zendaya said fiercely as she took out herphone. It seemed that she was looking for someone to execute her plan.
“As I said, if you want to be safe and sound, don’t mess with Rosalie anymore!” Zachary snapped.
“Why? Who is Rosalie? Why should I be afraid of her just because she could find those people sheknew in prison to help her?”
“That’s right. Zendaya is the daughter of the Xanthos family. If she does not fight back after someonetakes revenge on her, if would mean anyone could tra mple over the Xanthos family in the future.”Yvette supported Zendaya.
“You know what? Jonathan is the one who helped Rosalie,” Zachary blurted out. His face immediatelywent pale after he said
that.

Just like Zachary, both Yvette and Zendaya’s faces also turned pale.
They were surprised to hear Jonathan was the one helping Rosalie.
“How is that possible? How could Jonathan help Rosalie? She was the one who caused Melanie’sdeath back then,” Zendaya uttered in disbelief
