Chapter 410

Chapter 410

Warren was definitely attractive to women.

Amelia thought of how she once would want to drink from the water bottle that Warren once drank fromas she considered the action as indirect kissing.

Thinking of this, she realized she had been incredibly na?ve back then.

Taking a deep breath, she said, “Warren, I believe both you and I are well aware that you have noauthority to detain me. I am a free person.”

“A free person?” He chuckled. “So, how much do you think it will cost me to make you lose yourfreedom?”

His words were like a threat.

Her heart sank. She knew that he was telling her that he was fully capable of controlling her freedom. Ifhe wanted to, he could find another reason and send her to prison.

Thinking of the days in prison, Amelia could not help trembling slightly, and her face became paler. Herred lips pressed tightly, and her hands on her knees clenched into fists. It was as if she wasdesperately suppressing the fear in her heart

Her appearance caused him to furrow his brow unconsciously. He set aside the water bottle in his handand approached her, asking, “What’s the matter with you?”

However, when his hand touched her, she suddenly shouted in a sharp voice, “Don’t touch me!”-

Her tone and the look in her eyes conveyed an undeniable sense of disgust.

Warren’s face darkened. He grasped Amelia’s hand firmly and warned, “What if I did touch you?Amelia, let me make it clear that unless I choose not to, you have no right to refuse!”

The pain in her wrist made Amelia suddenly come back to her senses.

The cold and handsome face that came into her view made her realize that she was currently not inprison.

“Just now… I thought I was back in prison,” she thought. She had fallen into a trance suddenly and feltlike she had returned to prison.

Amelia thought, “No, I can’t go to jail again!” She could not afford to go to jail again. She still had Aidento raise.

Amelia took a deep breath and said, “Warren, if you want to have a child, then you can find a womanwilling to help you give birth to one! There’s no need to come to me.”

“You owe me a life!” he answered coldly.

“So, is that why you want me to return a life to you?” She curled her lips. “But you hate me so much. Doyou really want me to bear

your child? Furthermore, even if I were to bear a child, Irene wouldn’t be willing to raise a child of myblood. After all, I did make her lose her baby in the first place, didn’t I?”

Warren narrowed his eyes slightly and frowned even more. “What? You finally admit that you causedIrene to lose her baby?”

“Yes, I admit it.” She smiled and said, “I admit that I hurt her. Are you

satisfied?”

“Even if I professed my innocence, what good would it do? It only brought more humiliation upon meevery time,” Amelia pondered.

In fact, she should have admitted it earlier so that she could truly erase this man from her heart.

Warren could not help but feel a wave of discomfort wash over him from his heart upon hearing herconfession. Her confession did not seem to bring him any joy. Instead, it felt like something wasweighing heavily on his chest, making it difficult for him to catch his breath.

“I don’t have to disclose to you whether I’m satisfied or not. Furthermore, once the baby is born, Irenewon’t know that you’re the child’s mother,” he replied coldly.

“He has really thought of everything!” Amelia thought as she looked at the man in front of her quietly.

He was so protective of Irene that he even thought about the child for Irene. “You said I owe you andIrene a life, right?” she asked abruptly.

Warren fixed his gaze on Amelia. He could not quite fathom why he felt so unsettled when sheremained so composed.

Amelia stood up, walked to the bar beside her, took out a bottle of wine and an empty glass, andpoured herself a glass of

Wine.

At that moment, she might require a bit of courage, which she could find in a drink.

The red liquid flowed into her mouth, offering a mix of sweet and bitter sensations. It tasted trulydelightful.

She wondered why she did not think wine was so delicious before.

After downing a glass of wine, Amelia slammed the glass at the edge of the bar counter. In an instant, the glass shattered into pieces. She held the half-broken glass in her hand, its rim bristling with sharpshards of glass.

“Amelia, are you crazy?” Warren barked angrily.

Amelia seemed not to care about his anger at the moment. She just smiled and asked, “Warren, howdo you think I should pay you back a life?”

His anxiety became stronger. “What are you going to do?” His cold voice contained a touch ofnervousness that he had not noticed himself.

“In this way, I doubt I can ever have a child!” She smiled as she brought the half-broken glass in herhand toward her

abdomen.

The red blood instantly gushed out and trickled down from the glass, seeping into her clothes andhands.

Warren’s pupils suddenly contracted, and he rushed forward. “What are you doing?” he shouted, but hedid not dare to touch the broken glass in her hand. He was afraid that it would aggravate her injuryonce he touched it.

All he could do was hold her wrist tightly with one hand so that she would not pierce the broken glassdeeper into her abdomen while his other hand was trembling, holding the phone and dialing 911.

He had never thought it would be so difficult to make an emergency call to 911. However, now heseemed to have exhausted all his strength.

When the call was connected, he almost shouted to the operator on the other side.

At this moment, her unexpected actions shattered his usual composure. Even the phone almost fellfrom his hand.

When the call was finally over, he glared at her. He knew that if the glass stabbing into her abdomenwere pulled out, she would only bleed faster.

She might even lose too much blood and go into shock before getting sent to the hospital.novelbin

“Amelia, are you so reluctant to have my baby?” He questioned, and his eyes were filled with pain.

At this moment, he even forgot why he had initially wanted her to bear his baby to atone for her sin. Allhe had in mind was the woman before him, who could not wait to draw a line with him that she hadresorted to self-harm.

“Hadn’t she once been so infatuated with me?” he thought. He recalled how obedient she used to be,following his every

command.

Just like when he asked her to go to prison, she followed his instructions and went to jail.

However, he could not comprehend the situation now. It felt as if everything had spiraled out of control.
