Chapter 325

Chapter 325

Rosalie was stunned at first and then she understood what Jonathan meant.

Melanie was one of the Hamilton family and also the CEO of the Hamilton Group at that time. TheHamilton family had two daughters. Yvette had a career in the entertainment circle while Melanie wasregarded as the heir of the family business.

Besides, Melanie was Jonathan’s fiancée at that time.

Mike was afraid that though he wouldn’t be punished by the law, the Hamilton family and theYoungblood family would make a lot of trouble for him.

Then Rosalie figured out why Mike would do so many things to frame her.

The evidence in front of her made Rosalie realize that once the appeal was lodged, success was highlylikely. The only problem in front of them was that Mike was abroad.

Even if the case was turned over, it would be between the two countries.

very

difficult to bring him to justice. After all, there was no extradition treaty

Jonathan seemed to have known what Rosalie was worried about. He said, “Don’t worry. Though he isabroad, I will make him come back and plead guilty.”

Rosalie knew that Jonathan would manage to do anything he promised.

After confirming that no modification to the materials was necessary, Rosalie signed her name on thedocuments.

After everything was done, the lawyer who had been Rosalie’s mentor said, “Rosalie, you havesuffered a lot. But it won’t be long before you regain your good reputation and become a lawyer again. You’re welcome here.”

Hearing this, Rosalie smiled but didn’t respond to him.novelbin

Rosalie just turned to Jonathan and said, “Jon, I’m a little tired.”

Jonathan said, “Then let’s go back.” He took Rosalie’s hand and left, leaving the people in the meetingroom staring at one another in a daze.

After Jonathan and Rosalie got into the car, Jonathan looked at Rosalie and said, “If you’re tired, take anap.”

“No.” She shook her head. “I want to have a drink.”

Jonathan raised his eyebrow slightly, “Have a drink?!”

“Yes. I just suddenly feel like drinking!” said Rosalie.

“Okay, is there a particular place you want to be?” asked Jonathan.

“A bar.” Rosalie said, “I have been to the bar several times when I was in school.”

Jonathan smiled, “Okay. Let’s go to the bar.”

Although it was not a busy afternoon, there were some people in the bar.

Rosalie and Jonathan found an ordinary bar. It was the bar that Rosalie had been to when she was incollege. After so many years, the bar was still open, which surprised her.

After all, a lot of stores nearby had changed their shop signs.

Rosalie and Jonathan found a table deep in the bar and ordered some drinks.

Jonathan opened the bottle and poured Rosalie a glass of wine. “Strong liquor is not healthy. This kindof red wine is more suitable for women like you.”

Rosalie raised her glass and took a sip, tasting the mixed sweetness and bitterness. She swallowed itand enjoyed a inellow aftertaste.

Rosalie exclaimed in her mind that it was really something great!

Rosalie drank it bite by bite, allowing the feeling of dizziness to overwhelm her.

Jonathan stayed and drank with her, refreshing her wine from time to time.

Rosalie shook the glass in her hand and murmured, “Jon, sometimes I really think God is ridiculous.”

Jonathan said, “What do you mean?”

Rosalie said, “My case. The evidence was all pointed at me back then and I couldn’t defend myself.During the three years in prison, I couldn’t help wondering every day what the truth was and whoframed me. How much effort it must have been taken to make all the evidence against me?”

Rosalie said with a self-mocking smile, “I even thought everyone I knew. I analyzed everything aboutthem and wondered who the person could be. Who would have so much hatred of me?”

To Jonathan, Rosalie’s words were like a sledgehammer, hitting his heart hard and causing him sharppain.

Rosalie stuck her chin out slightly at smiled at Jonathan, “Jon, you know what? I never thought that theperson who did those things to me did not hate me or Melanie. He was just afraid of being sent toprison which might not happen so he destroyed my life!”

The three years in prison were a nightmare to Rosalie, which gave her a lot of injuries. She lost hercareer and a promising future and she might never have her own kids.

But all the pain was just because Mike was afraid of being implicated. So, he made Rosalie hisscapegoat!

It took Rosalie nearly four years to find out this simple but ridiculous truth!

Jonathan felt even more pain. It was the first time in his life that he had regretted. He regretted that hehad turned a blind eye to her, that though he was capable of proving her innocence, he saw her go tojail and did nothing.

Jonathan didn’t know that one day he would fall in love with Rosalie and the pain she had sufferedeventually became his

too.

Jonathan hoped that all her pain would suddenly be inflicted on him, not her.

Jonathan said softly, “Rosalie, I will find justice for you. Tell me what you want to happen to thosepeople who hurt you. I’ll definitely make it happen. But, please do me a favor, stop being so sad, okay?”

“With

you around me, I will never be sad!” Rosalie raised her head and drank up all the wine in her glass. “Infact, I should be happy now. After all, after being tortured for more than three years, I finally got ananswer.”

As Rosalie spoke, she picked up the half-full bottle of red wine, about to pour another glass of wine forherself.

Jonathan put

his hand on Rosalie’s and said, “Stop drinking. Though the alcohol level is low, you will still get drunk ifyou drink too much of it.”

“I just want to get drunk!” Rosalie smiled, “Jon, just let me get drunk, okay?”

Jonathan clamped his lips together. After a while, he moved his hand away from her and poured her aglass of wine.

Rosalie smiled at him, “Jon, you are so nice to me.”

The wine went along Rosalie’s throat and down into her stomach.

After a while, a charming and slightly seductive smile appeared on Rosalie’s pretty face because shewas a bit drunk. Jonathan was still afraid that Rosalie would get drunk so he ordered some snacks andasked her to eat them. He didn’t want her stomach to hurt.

Rosalie muttered, “Feed me, okay?” She could barely keep her eyes open.

Sure enough, Rosalie was drunk. If she had been sober, she wouldn’t have asked him to do this andacted cute.

Jonathan liked this request very much.

So, Jonathan began to feed Rosalie all kinds of pastries and steak in the bar. He would cut them intosmall pieces. He also fed her shrimps and crabs before shelling every piece of them.
