Chapter 304

Chapter 304

Jonathan said, “Since you’ve asked me for this, I will tell you.” Even if he didn’t tell Rosalie now,Rosalie would know this matter a few days later.

After all, it was not a secret in the upper-class coterie of the Strico.

So it would be better for him to tell Rosalie himself than others.

“Calvin is indeed looking for a girl he knew when he was young, but he hasn’t found her. His girlfriendsare indeed substitutes for that girl. He can’t find that girl, so he finds a substitute to comfort himself,”Jonathan observed Rosalie’s reaction as he said..

Rosalie frowned unconsciously, “Is he looking for a substitute for a little girl?

“His ex-girlfriends all look more or less like the little girl.

“But those girls are not the ones he wants. Is it meaningful to keep looking for substitutes like this?”Rosalie said.

“Maybe he is too obsessed with that girl, or he’s almost desperate. After all, even he doesn’t think thathe can find the little girl in the past.”

Jonathan then asked, “If you were that little girl, and you knew there was such a person looking for youall the time, what would you do?”

Rosalie was stunned for a moment. She had never thought about this hypothesis.novelbin

“Will you be moved? And will you stay with him?” Jonathan asked in a deeper voice. It seemed that hewas persuading her to say something of her inner mind.

“I don’t think so,” Rosalie replied. “Like you said, he may just be obsessive with that little girl. Hedoesn’t love that little girl very much, and he knew that little girl when he was a child. How much will helove that little girl?”

“Really?” Jonathan said, “What if he insists on you?”

Rosalie laughed, “It’s his obsession. I don’t need to obey him. Besides, I already have you. You won’tlet me do this.”

“Yes, you already have me…” Jonathan murmured. “Of course, I won’t give you to anyone.

He suddenly grabbed the back of Rosalie’s head with one hand and kissed her.

It was a domineering kiss, and Rosalie almost couldn’t get her breath.

A few moments later, Jonathan finished his kiss. Rosalie’s cheeks blushed, and she breathed heavily. She opened her mouth slightly, and it seemed that she had not gotten her sense yet.

Jonathan gently rubbed Rosalie’s lips with affection in his eyes. “Calvin thought that he would becomfortable when he found a substitute. It’s just self-deception. If I were him, I would not find asubstitute. If the one around me is not what I want, it is

useless.”

When Rosalie delivered the takeout in the afternoon, she received an order from her former law firmagain. It was Elodia who gave this order.

Elodia had deliberately ordered several takeouts since she knew that Rosalie was working here.Rosalie knew Elodia’s mind. “What’s wrong? Is there something wrong with the order?” Amelia asked, standing at the checkout counter.

“No problem,” Rosalie smiled gently. Then she picked up the takeaway, walked to her electric scooter, and drove toward the

law firm.

When Rosalie arrived at the law firm with what Elodia had ordered, Elodia greeted her with a smile.“Oh, I’m sorry. You bring it here again.”

“Nothing. It’s my job,” Rosalie said indifferently and handed the food to Elodia.

But Elodia didn’t take it. Instead, she suddenly pulled Rosalie and walked to the office. Then she said,“Hello, everybody. This is the person I mentioned in my case just now, and this is also Rosalie, ourformer colleague.”

Suddenly, people all looked at Rosalie.

Rosalie suddenly had a bad feeling in her heart.

Elodia said with a sincere expression, “Well, I was in charge of teaching some newcomers here thesedays. As you know, the best way is to teach them some controversial cases, and we can discuss themwith others. I happened to tell them about your case today. Instead of looking at the trial records andcase descriptions at that time, it will be better if you can tell them in person. It will work better.”

Elodia held Rosalie’s hand as she said, “Rosalie, you won’t refuse me, right? And at that time, youclaimed that you were wronged, so why don’t you talk about it now? We maybe can have a brainstormto find out the loopholes and clues for you. In this way, you may prove yourself

Rosalie only felt terrible. Every word Elodia said hurt her like a knife. Those wounds hurt her again.

She ridiculed in her heart, “Brainstorming? Loopholes and clues? Prove myself?”

That was ridiculous!

When she needed help, Elodia had never helped her! She even stayed away from her, fearing that shewould be in trouble.

But now, Elodia said those words to her. Elodia even showed her case to others. She hurt her again.

Rosalie looked at Elodia coldly. In the past, she only thought that Elodia was a little annoyed. The latterwas fond of making trouble with the former frequently. But now, Rosalie found that Elodia was morepetty than she had imagined.

Elodia suddenly felt a little furious when Rosalie stared at her coldly. But then, she suppressed theanxiety in her heart and said with a smile, “Rosalie, what’s wrong with you? Why do you look at me likethis? I just want to help you. After all, we are colleagues. If you are wronged, I hope that the law canprove your innocence and justice.”

“Elodia, you are so mean!” Rosalie said mercilessly. She pulled her hand back and said, “If you want tohelp me, why don’t you help me three years ago? Why don’t you help me when I can’t even find alawyer?”

“I… I was…”

“Are you afraid of getting involved in my case? Then why aren’t you afraid of being involved now?Aren’t you even afraid that those newcomers will be involved in discussing my case?”

“Rosalie, I’m just trying to help you. You have gone too far,” Elodia said angrily.
