Chapter 281

Chapter 281

“Is this child…” Warren asked.

“Well, he’s my friend’s son,” Rosalie replied vaguely. She didn’t want to tell Warren that Aiden wasAmelia’s son. “Thank for taking care of him.” She thanked him.

“Never mind,” Warren said. He couldn’t help but look at the little boy hugging Rosalie’s leg.

In the restroom, Warren saw this little boy looking for something desperately. Nervousness, anxiety, and fear were written all over his face. Warren couldn’t help but stop in his tracks.

To be honest, Warren wasn’t a busybody. When he saw this boy, he couldn’t help but wonder why hewas nervous and scared.

To Warren’s shock, the boy couldn’t hear him. He babbled a few words but Warren couldn’t understandhim at all.

Just when he thought that there was no way to communicate with the boy, the boy surprised him again.Warren didn’t expect that he could write.

To his surprise, the boy could write some complex words to express himself in addition to simple ones.

Warren couldn’t help but marvel at the boy. Meanwhile, he also felt pity for him because such a smartchild was born deaf.

Then he helped the boy find his lost cochlear implant in the restroom.

When the boy was holding the cochlea implant again, he smiled happily. His smile made Warren thinkof a woman.

Warren felt so ridiculous. How could a strange boy’s smile make him think of that woman? He had beenlooking for her for a year and still hadn’t found her.

He previously thought it would be easy for him to find that woman after she was released from prison. However, he couldn’t find her whereabouts at all.

Warren also didn’t expect Jonathan to come with this boy today.

At that moment, another voice sounded. “Warren, why are you still here?”

Warren turned around and smiled at the woman who walked towards him. “Something held me up. Ithas been solved

now.”

Rosalie had mixed feelings when she looked at the woman in front of her. The woman looked stunningin a beige dress and a pair of high heels decorated with crystals. Her long and straight hair fell over hershoulders, making her face look even smaller. She looked frail and delicate which made men want toprotect her.

Rosalie remembered seeing this woman’s face when she read Amelia’s case files and watched thenews. Amelia was sentenced to prison because of this woman back then.

This woman was Irene Fletcher, Warren’s fiancée.

After learning about the relationship between Amelia and Warren, she deliberately searched forinformation about Warren. on the Internet. It was widely spread that Warren and Irene would getmarried soon.

Amelia gave birth to Warren’s child but went to jail because of his testimony. But now, Warren wasabout to marry another

Woman.

She thought, “Ms. Haab must have watched the news. How did she feel while watching them?”

Irene walked to Warren, took his arm intimately, and then surveyed Rosalie, Jonathan, and Aiden.

“This is Mr. Jonathan Youngblood and his girlfriend Ms. Rosalie Leighton.” Warren introduced them toIrene.

Irene greeted them with a smile. “Nice to meet you, Mr. Youngblood and Ms. Leighton. I’m IreneFletcher, Warren’s fiancée.”

“Mr. Youngblood, I’m afraid I have to go now. See you next time,” Warren said.

“See you!” Jonathan replied with a half smile.

After Warren and Irene left, Jonathan turned to Rosalie. “Well, we have already found Aiden. Why areyou still worried?”

“The man is Warren Bates. He’s Aiden’s father,” Rosalie replied.

“So what?” Jonathan asked indifferently.

“Aiden is his son, but he had no idea about it,” Rosalie sighed, her tone full of sadness.

She found Aiden looked a bit similar to Warren when she took a closer look at their faces.

“Well, don’t get so emotional. It’s between Warren and Amelia. We have no right to interfere,” Jonathanreminded her.

Rosalie nodded and looked down at Aiden. Because Aiden didn’t wear his cochlear implant now, shedidn’t need to worry that Aiden would hear their conversation.

The three of them returned to the lounge. After saying goodbye to Dominic, Rosalie and Jonathanwalked out of the side door again.

Rosalie didn’t know how to help Aiden wear his cochlear implant back, so she put it away first.

“Would you like something to eat?” Jonathan asked.

Only then did Rosalie realize that it was too late. No wonder she was hungry. Aiden must have felteven hungrier, but he never complained.

“Sorry, Aiden. You must be very hungry. Let me take you to dinner now, okay?” Rosalie said to Aiden insign language.

Aiden nodded vigorously.

Rosalie vaguely remembered a family-friendly restaurant nearby that was popular among mothers, soshe said to Jonathan, “How about we go to a popular family restaurant nearby? I saw it online. It hasnice ratings and positive reviews.”

“Sure,” Jonathan agreed gladly.

So Rosalie took out her phone and Googled the family restaurant. It was pretty close, only a mile awayfrom where they

Therefore, they went to the restaurant on foot.

The restaurant’s decor and environment were child-friendly as if it were a small amusement park.

The whole restaurant was divided into a dining area and a children’s play area. There were slides, anocean ball pool, a sand area, trampolines in the children’s play area, as well as numerous buildingblocks, rocking horses, and other toys. Generally speaking, children could both dine and have fun here.

The paintings on the walls, dinnerware, and showcases in the dining area were all childlike. Thepaintings depicted fairy tales and fables. Parents could tell their children those stories while eating.
