Chapter 264

Chapter 264

“I like it,” Rosalie whispered softly. Women were drawn to beautiful things, so she could not possiblydislike such a lovely gown. However, she added, “But this gown must be expensive, and it feels like awaste to wear it only once.”

Her intention was to suggest that they choose a less expensive gown.

Nonetheless, in response to her words, Jonathan stated, “If you think it is a waste, come with me tomore banquets. That way, it won’t be a waste.”

Rosalie was rendered speechless.

The next moment, Jonathan took Rosalie’s hand and said, “All right. Let’s go.”

She gently hummed in response as the warmth of his hand spread to hers. Standing up, she followedhim out of the room and went downstairs.

The car was waiting outside the residence. Jonathan led Rosalie into the car.

During the ride, Rosalie couldn’t help but look at Jonathan. He was dressed in a classic black suit, awhite shirt, and a deep purple tie that day. He looked clean and smart, and his outfit complemented himperfectly.

He had distinct features and delicate facial features. His neatly parted black hair exposed his spotlessforehead, and his beautiful neckline was well hidden in the collar of his shirt.

If he were to unbutton a few buttons on his shirt, she would probably see his collarbone. Rosaliecouldn’t help but picture the shape of his collarbone in her mind.

His collarbone was stunning, to say the least. She had never imagined herself using the word“stunning” to describe a man’s collarbone. But when it came to him, it felt natural and appropriate.

Rosalie’s thoughts wandered, and she could not help but think back to that night. The moment shethought of that, her cheeks warmed up with each passing second.

Although she had never thought of herself as the type of person to make judgments about othersbased solely on their appearance, she could not help but be struck by his exquisite and strikingfeatures whenever she saw him.

It was true that attractive men were too dangerous for women. Rosalie forced herself not to think abouthim. Abruptly, an elegant voice rang in her ear. “Rosie, what are you thinking?”

The whispered words seemed to carry an irresistible temptation, causing Rosalie’s body to stiffen.

“What in the world am I thinking? What am I going to say to him? I can’t possibly tell him that I wasthinking about his body earlier!” she mused.

In an instant, Rosalie’s face turned even redder.

“Your face is so flushed,” Jonathan said, touching her cheek with his slightly cold fingers. Thetemperature difference made her face feel even hotter.

“I-It is because it is too hot in the car.” Rosalie came up with an excuse hastily, avoiding his gaze andattempting to divert his attention.

He gently pinched her chin with his fingers, half-forcing her to face him directly. “Why aren’t you lookingat me?” he asked.

“I-I didn’t…” she replied nervously. She felt even more self-conscious when her gaze met hiscaptivating eyes.

“Are

you sure? You know, your current expression seems to say that you are too embarrassed to look atme. Why? Were you thinking about something related to me just now?” he inquired as he leaned closerto her face.

In fact, his words had hit the bullseye. Rosalie bit her lip and didn’t know how to refute him. His eyesappeared to be capable of seeing right through her thoughts.novelbin

“Don’t bite your lip. It’ll smudge your lip makeup,” Jonathan murmured, bringing his lips close to thecorner of hers. “So, what were you thinking about? Let me make a guess. Since your face is so red,you were thinking about something intimate between us, weren’t you?”

Rosalie’s widening eyes and expression made it obvious that Jonathan had made the right assumption.

“Tell me. What kind of intimacy was it that you were thinking about? Was it about that night? Were youthinking about that night, Rosie?” he asked again. His voice was so soft that Rosalie felt as though afeather had delicately brushed against her heart.

Rosalie suddenly experienced a burning sensation on her face and exhibited an awkward, embarrassed expression. At that moment, she wished she could bury herself.

However, his fingers were still holding her chin, making it impossible for her to turn away.

Jonathan thought she was adorable when he saw her blushing face. Her watery eyes kept evading hisgaze, unaware that she was only fueling the man’s possessiveness and desire.

He might not be able to restrain himself if they were not in the car at the time and did not have thebanquet to attend

soon.

“Are you feeling shy? But what’s there to be shy about? Men and women are inherently attracted toone another. Isn’t it a given?” His fingers brushed against her flushed cheek.

His scent was enticing, and his voice lingered in her ear like an invisible seduction, drawing her in. “Didyou have a good time that night?”

Her face turned as red as a tomato when she heard that, but when she met his earnest gaze, her heartskipped a beat. He was genuinely curious.

Or perhaps it should be said that her response would be significant to him.

Even though she found it hard to express her feelings, at that moment, facing him, she obedientlyreplied, “Yes, I had a good time.”

After receiving the desired response, a lovely smile appeared at the corners of his lips.

“I had a good time as well. Would you want to indulge in it with me once again?” he inquired softly, hisdark eyes glowing with passionate love.

His passionate love was solely for her.

Rosalie felt like she was about to be intoxicated by his smile as she continued to stare at him in a daze.

“Do I want to do it with him again? I guess so. If I don’t, I won’t be greedily staring at that smile on hisface right now,” she reasoned.

Deep down, she wanted to see more of his smile.

She seemed to gain satisfaction from seeing his smile, and she would be overjoyed to know that hewas content because of her.

If possible, she would love to keep looking at his smile forever.

Although she was embarrassed, Rosalie nodded.

Immediately, Jonathan’s smile grew even wider. “Good. I will satisfy all of your needs. I will give youwhatever you

Only she could make him do such things and inspire such deep love in him in the entire world.

He never imagined falling in love with someone like that, but when it happened, he realized he waswillingly in love.

He was willing to love her with all his heart, even if it meant leaving everything behind to win her love
