Chapter 123

Chapter 123

Thinking that Rosalie had been wronged at the filming site, Jonathan was in a bad mood and anxiousto see her.

However, he was in a worse mood after seeing her.

Jonathan raised his hand and flicked the bruise on her forehead.

“Ouch!” Rosalie couldn’t help exclaiming in pain.

He sneered, “Do you also feel pain?”

Rosalie thought, “Of course! I’m not made of stone. How could I not feel pain? You flicked my wound!”

She widened her eyes and stared at Jonathan.

But Jonathan laughed angrily and said. “Rosalie, good for you. I wanteil you to stay with me, but yourefused easily. I thought you had dignity and backbone, but now? You worked as an extra andkowtowed and knelt because of your sister. Was it fun?”

Rosalie bit her lips and took a step back subconsciously. At this moment, he inexplicably scared her.

But when she took a step back, he came closer.

She retreated all the way to the wall, her back against it, and there was no way to retreat anymore.

Jonathan approached her and put his hands on the wall, almost circling her in his arms.

“I’m asking you. Was it fun?” He fixed his eyes on her and said in a deeper voice than usual as if hewas trying to suppress his

anger.

Rosalie was confused. She thought, “What’s wrong with him? I’m the one who got hurt. Why is he soangry?”

“I… I didn’t do this for fun, Rosalie muttered after a while.

“No? Then why did you go to the filming site? Why did you have to be an extra? Do you want to be astar? Then why didn’t you tell me directly? I can give you whatever resources you want. You can justbeg me. Did you have to kneel and kowtow and get hurt like this?” He said coldly.

If it weren’t for his remaining reason, Jonathan might’ve wanted to tie her beside him so that shecouldn’t go anywhere and wouldn’t be belittled by others.

Rosalie took a deep breath and then raised her chin slightly, answering, ‘For 65 dollars. I can earn 25dollars working as an extra. And if I kneel and kowtow to Loretta repeatedly, I can earn 40 dollars. That’s why I worked as an extra. Is that enough?”

He was stunned and asked, “65 dollars?”

“Yes, 65 dollars!”

“For the sake of 65 dollars, you did this to yourself? If you wanted money, why didn’t you come to me? Ican give you whatever you want. L..”

“But if you give me the money, I’ll need to pay some price again, right?” Rosalie said. She just didn’twant to get involved with him anymore. She wanted to go back to her old life, back to when she hadnever known him before. Although she was too lonely in this house at that time, she wasn’t someone’sdoll.

“What if I don’t need you to pay the price?” Jonathan said.

“That’s even less necessary. You have no obligation to give me money, and I can support myself,” saidRosalic.

He sneered, “Does your so-called ‘supporting yourself’ means making yourself miserable?”

Rosalie was choked, and a trace of sadness flashed in her eyes. Then she slowly lowered her eyesand said in a low voice, “At least I earned this money with peace of mind and didn’t need to be afraid ofanything.”

“So, did I scare you?” Jonathan asked.

She hesitated for a moment and answered, “I know that you just regard me as a doll. Now you’re stillinterested in me, but once your interest fades, I’ll become worthless. If I accidentally annoy you bythen, maybe I’ll end up miserably just like when I was in prison.”

She didn’t want to live such a miserable life anymore.

“So aren’t you afraid of annoying me by saying this now?” He asked.

Rosalie’s body suddenly stiffened. Of course, she was scared, but she chose to say it after all,

Her silence had already indicated everything.

There was a terrible silence for a while.novelbin

Rosalie lowered her head, and she could only hear her breath and heartbeat. Although Jonathan didn’tsay anything, she could feel that his eyes were fixed on her all the time.

She didn’t know how long it took before she suddenly heard his voice, “If I say that I didn’t take you asa doll, would you want to stay with me?”

Rosalie suddenly raised her head and looked at Jonathan in astonishment. It seemed that she didn’texpect him to say such

words.

“Would you?” He stared at her with burning eyes.

She smiled bitterly and replied. “What’s the use of it even if I stay with you? Should I continue to beyour older sister? Or your playmate? I’m afraid I’m not qualified for either of them.”

Jonathan’s lips compressed into a thin line, and his eyes darkened. The word “wife” almost came out ofhis mouth.

If Rosalie asked. Jonathan could marry her, but he was too proud to beg her to marry him.

He suddenly smiled gently, bent down slowly, and rubbed her cheek gently, saying. “Rosie, since yousaid so, let’s continue like this to see who has more patience. Maybe I’ll give up first or maybe you’llbeg to stay with me later.”

Rosalie’s breathing became a little rapid, and her body was trembling because of his approach.

Jonathan was always like this, so unpredictable. The last second, he seemed to be still angry, but thenext second, he stopped being angry all of a sudden.

After saying that. Jonathan walked to the table and sat down.

Rosalic breathed a sigh of relief and felt cold sweat on her back and palms.

Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of him picking up her phone. Then she came to her senses and quicklytried to grab it back.

But it was too late. Jonathan had already seen the content on her phone.

Jonathan raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at Rosalie with a faint stile, asking. “What? Are yousearching for news about me If you’re curious about me, just call me. You don’t have to search itonline.”

Rosalie was speechless. She thought, “What should I say? Should I say I was only curious because ofwatching the live streaming of an online celebrity and then searching the news?”

“The party you attended today seems to have just started. Is it okay that you ran out like this?” She hadto change the subject. “It’s just a party,” Jonathan said casually. There were many such parties in ayear, and sometimes he didn’t even bother to

attend them.

“Rosie, you haven’t finished your meal yet. Continite.” He glanced at her half-eaten boxed meal and satdown calmly.
