Chapter 1105

Jennifer bit her lips and looked at Felix with tear-filled eyes. “Felix… you… Are you going back with

us?” Even she had no confidence in her own question. He lived well there and was taken care of by

many people, including his grandparents and father. Living with her was a completely different story.

She thought to herself, “He must like this place better. He wouldn’t want to go back with me.”

“Go back? Where are you going? This is Felix’s home!” His grandmother, Marilyn, immediately

protested, afraid that Jennifer would really take away her precious grandson.

Victor also added, “Well, you’re Jen, right? Felix once lived in your house for a while. But now, he has

returned to his own home. Of course, it is impossible for him to return to Strico with you.”

But Jennifer didn’t seem to hear their words at all. She just looked straight at Felix until she heard him

say, “Sorry, I… I won’t go back with you.”

Her eyes suddenly turned red, and her little head drooped.

She thought, “I knew it. He doesn’t want to come back with me.”

Jennifer stammered, “I… I know you have grandparents and your daddy You… wouldn’t want to go

back with me. I know that… but I’m still sad. I want to sleep with you, play the piano with you, and tell

you many stories, Felix.”

After some thought, she realized she would be equally unwilling to leave her parents and brother

behind.

So now she understood his decision, but it didn’t stop her from feeling upset.

“Don’t cry. You should be happy for Felix because he has found his own home.” Rosalie held her

daughter in her arms and wiped her tears.

Jennifer pouted, but she could not bring herself to be happy. As long as she thought of not seeing Felix

every day in the future, it would make her sad.

Rosalie turned around and looked at Felix again. “Felix, I’m sorry that you suffered at the Youngblood

residence. I’m really sorry.”

Felix shook his head and replied, “Ms. Leighton, you don’t have to apologize.” He knew that Rosalie

had always been helping him find evidence, and though many people believed he was a bad child, she

was willing to ask him what happened instead of directly assuming that he caused trouble.

“Well, it’s late today. Let’s go back first. With that, Rosalie took her daughter’s hand, while Jonathan

held their son, Guillermo’s hand. The four of them left the hall of the Serton residence.

But before leaving, Jennifer shot Felix a reluctant glance.

Felix stared blankly after Jennifer’s departing figure. Then, he looked down at the chocolates and

apology card in his hand, as well as the doll he had found in the utility room.

“I told you. How could our grandson push someone downstairs? Fortunately, the truth has come out

now. But it took them a whole night to apologize! I don’t know what the Youngblood family is teaching

their children!” Marilyn grumbled. She was about to hug her Felix when her precious grandson

suddenly ran outside.

“Where are you going, Felix?” Marilyn hurriedly called out and chased after him. Seeing this, Victor also

followed them, and some of the help ran out together.

Wyatt stood there, his lips curved in a small smile. At that moment, he was not the tiniest bit worried

that his son would want to return to the Youngblood residence.

After all, Felix was carrying the blood of the Serton family. The boy would understand that there was a

price to pay for the things he desired.

Felix ran until he caught up with four people from the Youngblood family at the gate of the Serton

residence.

“Jen, I… I don’t blame you!” Felix said loudly, “I want to be best friends with you, better than anyone

else. It’s just… I-I can’t leave my home now.”novelbin

Because only by staying there could he stand beside her with his head held high and not be compared

by anyone in the future.

He didn’t want to be looked down upon anymore, and he didn’t want to hear people gossiping behind

his back about how he didn’t deserve to be Ms. Youngblood’s friend.

Jennifer stared at Felix in a daze. When she heard that the other party wanted to be best friends with

her, the dispirited frown on her face finally turned into a smile.

She ran to him quickly and declared, “Then, let’s be best friends forever. You must visit me often in the

future; I will also come to see you

frequently!”

“Okay!” he answered.

“This doll…” Jennifer’s gaze fell on the doll he held in his right hand. At that moment, she had already

recognized that it was her gift to him. “You have to pretend this doll is me and let her sleep with you

every day.”

“Okay,” he answered again.

“Also, eat all the chocolates I gave you today. They’re delicious!” she added. At the same time, she

lamented inwardly, “Sadly, I can’t eat those chocolates with him.”

“Okay.”

After his three promises, she was finally satisfied, and her expression was no longer as sad as before.

Jennifer suddenly hugged Felix and planted a sloppy kiss on his cheek. “I will miss you every day after

I go back. You should also miss me every day! We will always be best friends.”

The four members of the Youngblood family left. Felix remained frozen to the spot in a trance, his

cheek burning hot from Jennifer’s kiss.

He thought, “I have been missing her every day. I miss her so much!”

“Okay, let’s go back in. It’s already late. You should have gone to bed long ago,” Marilyn coaxed while

holding her grandson’s hand.

Felix lowered his gaze and looked at the doll in his hand. Then, he solemnly said to Marilyn, “Grandma,

don’t throw this doll away anymore. I don’t want anyone else to touch it.”

He spoke as if the doll was an invaluable treasure to him that no one could take away.

After being taken back to the hotel by Jonathan and Rosalie, Guillermo and Jennifer were naturally told

off.

After all, the two children had almost caused a massive incident. If Wyatt had called any later, Jonathan

might have already brought his case to the leader of the police station in Lommore.

“Why did you run out to find Felix? If you really want to see him, tell Daddy or me!” Rosalie chided.

“Because I’m afraid that Felix won’t want to see all of us. In that case, we won’t be able to meet each

other, but if we sneak into the Serton residence, then we can see him,” Jennifer insisted firmly.

Rosalie rubbed her temples. Her daughter’s logic was so unreasonable that she failed to immediately

come up with a retort.

“Anyway, you can’t do this in the future. You are still children now. What if you run into bad people on

the way?” Rosalie began to lecture the two kids on the dangers that could potentially befall them.
