Felix got out of his bed and began to put on his clothes. “Last night… Why didn’t you come here?” heasked hesitantly.
“I fell asleep when I returned home yesterday, so Daddy put me to bed in my room,” Jennifer explained.“But I brought you a gift yesterday! That place sells very delicious chocolate. I specifically askedMommy to buy you a box.”
Her little face showed a thrilled expression as she said that.
Felix pursed his lips. He didn’t tell her he actually didn’t like chocolates. But since she liked it, he wouldlike it, too.
On the way to the kindergarten, Jennifer gave the chocolate to Felix. She even took a piece from thebox and told him, “Ah, open your mouth quickly. It’s delicious.”
