Charlotte thought for a while and shook her head. “I can’t. I love him.” Despair rested in Tom’s eyesas something pierced his heart.

“I rejected my mate for you, and yet you can’t reject yours. Who gave you this information anyway?”He was curious, suspecting that she had another lover besides. him.
“It doesn’t matter.” Charlotte would never tell Tom about Salvadore unless she wanted all her plansruined. Tom shook his head, disappointment lacing his voice.
“I should have known. You have been cheating on me.” The sound of a war siren could be heardeverywhere. Both parties froze before Charlotte said,
“That is the pack siren. Seems there is an attack.”
Tom disagreed. “I don’t think so. There should have been some war noise from the enemies. I thinkAlpha Nick is going to make an announcement.”
Charlotte was slightly nervous. Everything seemed strange to her in this pack, and she kept feelinguncomfortable. They rushed to where the pack members had gathered. Alpha Nick saw themcoming from the distance and addressed his pack without waiting for them.
“Thank you all for making it on time. We are going to have some visitors, and I want us to put someeffort into making our pack look better.”
They looked around with confused expressions since the pack was already looking good, but AlphaNick was always a perfectionist, so this was well understood, and this used to be Luna Sheila’s job
as well.
“The work will be too much for the omegas, so I want each and every one of you to get involved inthe cleaning. Also, though this is a peace visit, I encourage you all to be on high alert, ch*ck thesecurity systems put in place, and make sure we don’t get a surprise attack.”
“They are about four Alphas with their Lunas.” He quickly corrected himself. “Well, one of them isstill unmated and searching. Beta Dustin and I are going to meet them at the airport. I hope thepack will be better than we are leaving it.”
Athena rubbed his back comfortingly, he smiled, turning to face her. “Ma’am is willing to help withanything, including dad.”

Chapter 92
After getting the understanding that everything was in place, Alpha Nick and Beta. Dustin left in aconvoy to welcome the four Alphas. It was a casual peace meeting, but anything can happen.
They used different cars as the times of arrivals were different. They were escorted by b*dyguardsas well.
Reaching the airport, two of the Alphas arrived and were supposed to be welcomed by Alpha Nick,but then, he saw Sheridan’s brothers and Goldie. Since they did not see him, he hid from them,suspicious as to what all seven of them, including Goldie, were doing at the airport.
“Dustin, I have to trust you with this. Sheila’s brothers and cousin are here. Take care of the guests.The b*dyguards can help you. Just leave one car and one driver for me.”
Sheila’s name was always a light in the dark, Beta Dustin’s eyes lit. “Yes, Alpha. I really hope itinvolves her.”
After Dustin left, Alpha Nick walked ahead to the arrival lounge, and as expected, that face thatgave him sleepless nights for over a year showed up. She was also carrying a baby. As soon as hiseyes met with the baby’s, she began to wiggle from Sheridan’s
arms.
Sheridan had no idea who her baby was attracted to and only focused on calming her. When AlphaNick saw Goldie and Sheila’s seven brothers fast approaching her, he hastened and snatched thebaby from her.
Sheridan stood frozen. Her eyes welled up in tears. “Nick, what are you doing here?”
Alpha Nick’s voice was heavy with emotions by the way the baby relaxed in his arms, her eyesfixated on him, and she even wore a cute smile with her two teeth.
Alpha Nick’s eyes welled up in tears as love filled his heart for the baby in his arms. It was strangehow two strangers would just meet and be attracted to each other, more like love at first sight.
“Sheila, I finally saw you again.” He tried to stay strong, but his voice was teary. He never thoughtabout how it would be if they met again.
Sheridan’s eyes were equally glassy. Not in her wildest dreams did she expect that moment whenshe arrived. But what amazed her was Daisy. What a betrayal for her to suddenly keep quiet,making Sheridan feel as if Daisy was rescued from her.
One thing remained that if Alpha Nick knew that this was her child, he would force her

to return to his pack. “Nick, please give back my baby.”
Alpha Nick’s gaze darkened slightly when he glanced at her, but the moment they landed on thecute creature in his arms, it softened, turning glassy. “She looks like me.”
Sheridan’s heart almost fell out of her chest, and not even the presence of Goldie and her brotherswho had just arrived could do her any good. “She’s not yours. Give her back.”
Her hand stretched to receive the baby, but Alpha Nick made no attempt to give her back. “Itdoesn’t look like she’s uncomfortable. What did you name her?” He asked casually, pressing his lipsgently to Daisy’s forehead, Sheridan was moved to tears.
“Daisy Warner.”
Alpha Nick suddenly focused his attention on her. Irritation bubbled in his voice. “Warner? Youdisappoint me, Sheila. Did you plan to keep my child from me?” He glared at her, her heartthumped.
The last time he gave her that look was when they were married. He must be really upset rightnow.
“Alpha Nick, please give her back. That child is not yours.”
Calling him by his title was a way to create a gap between them. Somehow, Daisy’s presencescared off all of Alpha Nick’s demons. That was why he was so calm. novelbin
“Alright,” he said to Sheridan’s relief, but she paled when he added, “but I will have a DNA testcarried out first, and you better move out of my way,” he said to Arnold who had blocked his path.
Sheridan’s heart walloped, and at the same time, Alpha Nick shoved Arnold with one arm, holdingDaisy securely with the other.
He saw no reason to be polite anymore. If he tried being gentle, Sheridan and her brothers wouldequally steal his daughter from him.
Goldie was uncomfortable and whispered in Sheridan’s ears. “He knows. That is what I wanted totell you. He cornered me when I was going to the office…”
“It’s alright. It’s not your fault.” Sheridan understood the reason for Alpha Nick’s confidence and ranafter him since he already walked past Arnold after shoving him.

Alpha Nick paused, turned around, and stared at her. “You don’t want me in your life, so she’s onlymine. Now that I have her, the Dark Moon Pack has an heir. You kept her pregnancy and birth fromme, denying me the right to experience it.” Pain shot through his heart, registering in his eyes as headded. “I can take it from here.”
A tear dropped down Sheridan’s cheeks. That baby would not even cry to give her the opportunityof taking her from Alpha Nick, but she saw a loophole in Alpha Nick’s plans.
“She’s a girl. She can’t be an heir,” she pointed out.
Alpha Nick’s expression remained unchanged. “I will train her. If the Moon goddess. gave me a girl,then the pack would have a female Alpha in the future,” he declared, destroying every shred ofhope Sheridan had.
When Alpha Nick took steps further, he was surrounded by Sheridan’s brothers as Arnold declared.“We are not going to allow you to take her.”
