Tom would not have returned if his businesses crashing had not affected him. Even as he went tostart over in other states, Alpha Nick’s destruction seemed to follow him even after paying hisdebts.
Due to this, he could not just leave without some collaboration, and he had chosen the day of thecoronation because it was when a lot of guests were present and security was slightly loose.
If not, he was certain that Alpha Nick would not have agreed to see him and also had nothing to useas bait this time.
Having all the guests‘ attention, Tom felt ashamed and rather walked forward, speaking to onlyAlpha Nick’s hearing.
“Alpha Nick, I had no intention of returning like I promised but due to your influence over mybusinesses. If you could undo all that you did, I would never bother you again.”
Alpha Nick knew exactly what he did and felt that indeed, it was time to let go. The moon goddesshad blessed him with two mates, and though he met the wrong one first, Tom’s affairs with Charlottegave him the best.
“Thanks to your affair with Charlotte, I got Sheridan so I would make the call but what do you knowabout the bracelet?”
It concerned him that both bracelets had the unusual glow, making him feel they had a connection toDaisy’s destiny since she was the one attracted to them.
“It was given to me by my grandmother before she passed away. She told me to only give it to thewoman I loved so I gave it to Charlotte. I have no idea how it got here,” Tom explained, not having
the slightest idea that the bracelet had any powers.
“Charlotte gifted to Daisy,” Alpha Nick replied. Both men were speaking in hushed tones leaving theguests puzzled but Sheridan was calm, knowing that Nick was trying to get to the bottom of the rootof the bracelet.
“Charlotte? How possible?” Tom was surprised by the revelation, wondering what triggered thechange in Charlotte. Nick did not keep it from him.
“She’s pregnant with your child and she came here last night. Maybe, you should go look for her.”
Tom was tormented by a blend of emotions. He hadn’t thought about becoming a father anytimesoon but with the opportunity knocking, he could not help the excitement cruising through him.
Then again, talking with Nick like this, he missed his best friend but knew that bond of greatfriendship was broken.
“I can’t enter the magic pack since I chose to leave,” he said sadly, Alpha Nick stared at him like afool.
“Did you forget your phone or the number of the woman you claim to love?” Alpha Nick askedsarcastically, Tom felt like the fool he was.
“You are right. I should call her.”
The mystery of the glowing of the pearl bracelet remained unsolved but Alpha Nick was determinedto keep an eye on Daisy and both bracelets. He would also ensure to dig into the mysterysurrounding both items.
The after party was amazing but due to Goldie’s condition, Sheridan left early with her, leaving theguests in Alpha Nick, Athena, and Tedmond’s hands. Alpha Ansaldo was also there to offer his help
since they were now in–laws but Bree focused solely on Daisy.
Dustin could also not leave his mate’s side and for the first time, had to take permission from hisAlpha to skip the most part of the refreshment.
Since most of the guests in attendance were Alphas, Dustin’s absence almost went unnoticed.
“Doctor, is the test result ready?” Sheridan met the doctor at the doorway of Goldie’s bedroom andasked eagerly.
The doctor smiled at her and shifted his attention to Goldie. “Yes, Luna, and we have good news.She is pregnant.”
Sheridan sighed with relief but Dustin was so excited jumping like a teenager. “Aww, thank thegoddess for this.”
The doctor glared at him with a stern warning. “I suggest Beta Dustin, that you allow her to have alot of rest and that includes…”
“I know, doc, I’m not vile,” Dustin cut him off jokingly, excited that his mate was pregnant. If he hadto avoid s*x until she gave birth, he did not mind.
After all, he spent his whole life waiting for her.
“Great but that should only be for the first trimester. After that, you can go all you want,” thedoctor teasingly said.
Goldie was embarrassed by the doctor poking her nose into their s*x life, hiding her face behind apillow.
Tom left the Dark Moon pack and checked into a hotel. Alpha Nick was true to his words, makingthe call that caused Tom’s previous business

partners to begin getting in touch with him again through one of his managers.
But as to whether or not he could go back immediately to the human world, that depended on howhis discussion with Charlotte would go so he dialed the number.
Charlotte was already asleep when her phone rang. She picked it up, regretting her forgetfulness toswitch it off when she saw the strange number.
After a little thought, she answered it. “Hello.”
“Charlotte. It’s me, Tom.”
Charlotte lifted herself to a sitting position. “Tom?” Her voice was already teary as Tom said,
“If it’s not too much, can you meet me tomorrow morning? It’s very important that we talk.”
