Chapter 1 3 6 “Aisha, why are you here so early?” Bree yawned when she saw the smiling figure in her room. Shereached out her hand to the side, but it felt cold to the touch. Alpha Ansaldo was not by her side. Last night was the first time he had allowed her to sleep withoutany disturbances. He knew she would have to wake up early and didn’t want her to have dark circles under her eyes,needing her beauty rest for the occasion. “Your parents are here. Alpha Nick and his Luna too,” Aisha announced, increasing Bree’sexcitement. What a wonderful surprise to wake up to! “Send them in before you help me get ready. Where isAnsaldo?” She asked, eager and desperate to see her mate. “He’s preparing a surprise for you,” Aisha said. About to ask why, a knock was heard on the door. Before Bree could ask who it was, the door pushed open and Aiden walked in. “I did not tell you tocome in yet,” she said, covering herself with the duvet, though she was wearing pajamas. An embarrassed smile tugged at the corner of her lips as well. Aiden did not understand why she-wolves went naked after shifts during trainings and wars. Perhaps it was because Bree had not shifted in front of the pack before. His voice was polite as heresponded to her, not to her question though. “Good morning, Luna. Aisha, can you please excuse us?” Bree was uncomfortable, afraid that Ansaldo would come in and be upset with her. Unfortunately forher, Aisha was already at the door. “Sure. I will get your parents, Luna.” As soon as Aisha stepped out, Aiden took a step forward but not too close to the bed and said, “Before they get here, I just want to make something clear. It’s a new start for us, and I’ve given up
on pursuing my Alpha’s mate. What happened in the past is forgotten. I am here to serve.” Peace flooded Bree’s heart like the calmness of a river. You better leave before Alpha Ansaldo gets here.” Aiden smiled, understanding her fears but still not intending to leave immediately. “Oh, he asked me to bring something to you.” Bree frowned, wondering why Arisaldo did not send Aisha but rather Aiden. Her confusion was cleared when Aiden clapped his hands twice, and five maids walked in withdifferent items in hand. One of them carried the most beautiful coronation gown Bree had ever seen and placed it carefullyon the bed since she was supposed to wear it. The second carried a pair of stunning stilettos on acute luxury pillow, also dropping it gently on thebed. Bree’s eyes went wide. Having had her fair share of luxury, it was surprising that Ansaldo was stillable to prepare something that blew her mind. The third carried a diamond necklace, also or a cute luxury pillow, the fourth carried a cloud crystalembellished clutch, except the crystals were replaced with real diamonds. Sheridan, Tedmond, and Athena. “Mom, dad, Sherry, Nick.” Bree dropped the duvet and went to hug her parents, brother, and sister-in-law. “Thank you for coming, but where is Goldie and Dustin?” She asked, slightly disappointed. “Who will take care of the pack and Daisy if we all leave?” Nick pinched her playfully on the nose,and Bree instinctively hit his hand away. “You brought Daisy? When do I get to see her?” She asked again, adding, “Let’s all eat together.Aisha, can you call Ansaldo? Tell him my parents are here.” Sheridan was happy to see Bree gaining control of her home, and from the look in her eyes, shewas indeed very happy. “We already saw him,” Nick responded as Bree’s attention went back to the food. “Then he should come and eat.” “We had breakfast with him,” Tedmond answered this time, and Bree was amazed as Sheridanexplained what Ansaldo had told them. “He said he woke up early and that he did not want to disturb your sleep. Since our coronation isnext week, you will see Daisy when you come.” Bree beamed at the mention of her niece. “I can’t wait to see Daisy.” “Why don’t we help you get ready? The guests are already arriving, and Alpha Ansaldo would beanxious,” Sheridan proposed. These were her collections, and she had to ensure that everything came up the way Alpha Ansaldowanted it for his Luna. “You all can go. My mom and sister-in-law will take care of the rest,” Bree informed the five maids. They walked out, and so did Alpha Nick and Tedmond, who went to give their support to Alpha Nick. Athena and Sheridan helped Bree have her shower and get ready for the coronation.
