Opening my eyes slowly, I don’t remember when I went back to my room and fell asleep, but when I
saw the figure of a man sitting at the end of the room as if to see my reaction to seeing him in my room,
I guess he was the one who brought me back here.
“Morning” He said and woke up carrying a tray of food from the table towards me “Your breakfast” He
pulled the table towards me and placed the food in front of me.
I sighed as I continued to stare at him without getting up from the pillow and continued to lay my head
there.
“What?” He raised his eyebrow in wonder when see me staring at him.
“You finally dared to enter my room” It was not a question but a statement that made him freeze in
shock as if he did not expect me to speak like that.
Yes, you could say that the conversation we had last night probably emboldened him to begin to speak
seeing that my reaction was not like the first time I saw him.
“Don’t you like me here? I… I can get out if my presence is still bothering you” He looked panicked as
he spoke and I couldn’t help but be amused to see him like that “What?” He asked, still confused.
I shook my head with a smile “No, somehow your presence calms me down” I honestly said and made
him pause before sitting back down on my bedside table “Unlike when Jack…” I stopped talking when I
saw her stiffen in anger when she heard the name come out of my mouth.

“Did…” I lifted my gaze back to the man and waited for him to finish “Did Jack ever try to touch you?”
He asked quietly and I saw him clench his hands into fists as if restraining himself from the emotion.
Staring at him closely, I didn’t know what answer he was looking for.
“I don’t know what touch you mean” I started to open my mouth to speak and saw him continue to lock
his gaze on me “However, even though we have been together for almost a month, he has never even
held my hand like you did last night” He seemed to widen his eyes when he heard my answer and I just
picked up the spoon to start eating the breakfast he brought for me.
Neither of us spoke, as if we had our own thoughts in our heads, but his presence always managed to
make me comfortable without me being able to explain why.
