Chapter 5372

James did not feel intimidated in the slightest even though he was facing Yui, who emanated anoverwhelming amount of aura.

Although he had a relatively low cultivation rank, James nonetheless perfected the defensive powers ofhis body.novelbin

Yui might not be able to inflict actual damage on James even if he unleashed a full-force attack.

As soon as Yui started approaching James, the elders from the Yeftero Race and the cultivators fromthe Suuntelis and the Zoltrumms followed as well.

Only Yuvin from the Mevryee Race remained standing in the same spot.

A deep frown drew his brows together.

He could almost feel the tension in the air.

At that very moment, the man in a black robe teleported and reemerged before James.

He released his aura, which instantly washed over the cultivators opposite him and overpowered theirauras.

“Stand back,” James called out to Qairo.

A faint red light gleamed in Qairo’s eyes.

He stood there as he appeared to be processing his thoughts.

Just then, a voice rang in his head.

“Stand back, and listen to that man for now.” Qiyana transmitted her voice to Qairo from within thegrounds of the holy land.

Despite being in a closed-door meditation, Qiyana was aware of what was happening outside since shewould constantly check her surroundings.

Upon receiving Qiyana’s orders, Qairo stepped aside and moved to stand behind James.

James turned his eyes to Yui.

“My father warned me that the Four Ancient Races of the Dark World were formidable forces that Ishould not be making enemies out of.

I do not want to do that either, but I’m afraid I can’t let you enter this place today.” “As I said, theGlacies’ princess hiding inside the Glaciem Holy Land must die today,” Yui said in a steely voice.

James dropped his gaze as he thought about what he could do to buy more time for their side.

“It won’t do any of us any good if we keep on fighting like this.” After a brief moment, James suggested,“Why don’t we have a bet?” Yui waited for James to continue.

James said, “I'll remain in this very spot and take three hits from you.

If I can survive all three hits, you and your members will have to leave this place.

If I don’t, you can have access to the Glaciem Holy Land right away.

What do you say about that?” Yui looked at James pensively.

He could already tell that there were immense powers contained within James’ physical body.

However, since those powers were greatly associated with one’s cultivation rank, Yui did not thinkJames’ powers were enough to achieve invincibility at the moment.

Moreover, even if James had mastered some type of superb defensive skills, there were limits to howmuch he could do at the level of a Petit Celestial Rank cultivator.

While Yui was still deep in thought, James added, “I won’t use any signature skills.

I will just stand here and take the hit.” Behind him, Lemuel and Latrusse stood there and smiledenigmatically.

They could tell James was trying to lure Yui into his trap.

On the other hand, Thea and Yuvin were both feeling worried.

Yuvin pondered, ‘Does he have a death wish?! Yui is a monster- level genius.

Even though he’s only entered the early stage of the Holy Celestial Rank, those who have reached thelate stage of the same cultivation rank dare not take Yui too lightly during a battle.’ Similarly, the othercultivators could not believe what they had just heard.

A late-stage Petit Celestial Rank cultivator claimed that they would not use any defensive skills to blockthe attacks of a Holy Celestial Rank cultivator.

It was simply suicidal! Nevertheless, Yui knew instinctively that James would not bring up such anabsurd suggestion for no reason.

The man must be somewhat confident in winning to have suggested the bet.

By using his Zen, Yui confirmed that James had entered the late stage of the Petit Celestial Rank.

He could also detect the presence of an immense power in James’ body.
