Chapter 4218

“What should I do, Great Elder?”

Qimat looked at Youri submissively and said, “The gathering is just around the corner. What should wedo if we can’t explain things clearly?”

Youri took a deep breath to forcibly calm himself down. All this while, this matter had been on his mind. However, he had no way of resolving this. He did not want to admit to this because he did not wish toshoulder the blame. However, on the contrary, he would not be able to explain what he was doing atthat specific period of time.

“Alright now, you’re dismissed for now. We’ll take one step at a time.”

Youri waved slightly.

“Understood.”

QImat nodded and turned to leave.

After he left, Youri’s face darkened as he clenched his fists. He also exuded a terrifying aura. He wasnow showing signs of going berserk. If pressured any further, he would certainly act impulsively.Besides, he already had an idea in mind. If he could not explain things clearly, he would resort toviolence.

James did not know anything about this. Though he remained on Mount Doom, he was contemplatingwhat Youri was planning.

Time passed.

In the blink of an eye, the day of the Dooms’ gathering had arrived.

Night fell.

James sat on a rock in the courtyard and gazed at the pitch-black sky. Yemima, glamorous as always, appeared before him and said, “Tomorrow’s the day of the gathering.”novelbin

“Mhm.” James nodded slightly.

Yemima said, “The Great Elder is calm at the moment. There are no signs of him making a move.”

James was concerned. The calmer the surface, the more turbulent the tides that run beneath. Actually,he was hoping that Youri would do something reckless like betraying the Doom Race. That way, Youriwould be the enemy of the Greater Realms, which would be thrown into chaos.

James was not the only person who had trouble sleeping that night. Youri was uneasy. Tomorrow wasthe gathering. Yet, he still did not know how to explain this. Though he had a plan on his mind, he couldnot make the final decision. As a Doom, he did not wish to go too far.

He walked back and forth in his room anxiously.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

A knock came on the door.

Youri took a deep breath and said, “Come in.”

The door opened, and Qimat walked in.

“Great Elder, if we do not act tonight, the opportunity will slip away.” Qimat said, “The greatest threat toyou in the Dooms is the Grand Patriarch. All this while, he had been in closed-door meditation healinghis injuries. His condition is dire

Qimat had been Youri’s subordinate for a very long time now. As such, he knew how ambitious Youri

was. Otherwise, he would not have quietly cultivated the Omniscience Path. Back then, when the Ten

Great Races annihilated the Human Race, those who cultivated the Omniscience Path had their

cultivation base ripped away from them. Youri, however, managed to slip away. Though this was asecret to the outside world, everyone inside the Dooms knew about this.

“You have to make the decision, Great Elder! Tonight, we will annihilate the Grand Patriarch. Once he’sdead, you will call the shots around here. By then, even if we have to fight against the Greater

Realms, we won’t be afraid!”

Seeing that Youri was still hesitating, Qimat did not hold back.
