Chapter 4045

Chapter 4045

At that moment, thousands of Sword Energies intercepted him.

The Sword Energies struck him, causing his body to sustain heavy wounds. However, he had alreadyclosed in on the formation’s barrier.

"Break!!!"

James shouted, then called upon all his strength. He had no time to think about the consequences andused his Chaos Power. He also used the power from his Omniscience Path and the Malevolent Sword.

Combining the various powers he had, he forcefully broke through the formation.

James pulled Dahlia out of the formation and immediately vanished as he escaped.

"Get them! I want them back alive!"

After seeing James escape, Hutchin furiously screeched his order.

Countless Soul Race powerhouses quickly pursued James.

James had sustained severe injuries. It had been a long time since he was last injured.

Where he hailed from, he was practically invincible. However, his strength was unimpressive in theGreater Realms.

James did not dare to rest for a moment. He used all his strength to tear through space and speedilyfled from the area.

Soon, he had properly escaped the Soul Realm and back in the Chaos.

While fleeing, James made sure not to leave traces of his presence behind. He wanted to make sure hispursuers could not track him down.

After flying through the Chaos for a while, James entered a small world. The world was unremarkableand not well regarded in the Greater Realms.

Despite being one of the weaker worlds, it was several times stronger than the Twelfth Universe.

After reaching a mountain range somewhere on the small world, James could no longer endure thestrain of his injuries. He fell to the ground and spat out a mouthful of blood. He immediately got up andsummoned his Life Path’s power to treat his injuries. His once injured body was healed instantly.

However, his treatment only mended his external wounds. His severe internal injuries were not healed.

Dahlia was also injured, but James had shielded her from the brunt of the assault.

As such, her injuries were not as horrible as his.She looked at James sitting in a lotus position andnoticed his pale face and the blood coating his lips. She could see that James was heavily wounded.

Dahlia raised her sword but could not strike James down.

James languidly opened his eyes and saw Dahlia gripping her long sword.

Seeing the hesitation on her face, he said, "If you want to, you can kill me right now. However, you'lldefinitely regret it."

"Why did you rescue me?"

Dahlia bit her lips, her eyes betraying her internal conflict. She was conflicted about killing James.

James responded, "I had nothing to do with the Soul Race raiding the village. If I hadn’t saved you, it'dbe hard for me to clear my name in the future.Everything I told you guys was the truth.I need you tohelp me lead to see the people of power in the Heaven-Eradicating Sect."

He explained the real reason he saved Dahlia. He would not know how to find the Heaven-EradicatingSect's higher-ups if he did not take her with him.

That would leave him up a creek without a paddle, and he would have no idea how to proceed fromthat point.

Dahlia spat coldly.

"Do you think I'll trust you? You're the reason the Soul Race’s army found us.My grandfather and ourvillagers were kidnapped because of you.I know you saved me only because you want to use me tofind our headquarters! Once you get there, you'll wipe us out all at once."

"If I'm really in cahoots with the Soul Race, why would I risk myself to save you?" retorted James.

"Hmph! It’s clearly because you have an elaborate scheme. You're trying to earn my trust to infiltrate theHeaven- Eradicating Sect’s headquarters! Once you discover our location, the Ten Great Races willappear to wipe us out!"

"Your grandfather has already promised to bring me to the Heaven-Eradicating Sect’s headquarters. If Itruly was conspiring with the Soul Race, I could've just waited until you both brought me to theheadquarters yourselves.Wouldn't that be more convenient?"

Dahlia was at a loss for words.

James’ reasoning was solid.

If he were with the Soul Race, they would not have needed to intercept the fleeing villagers earlier.Theycould have waited until James arrived at their headquarters and wiped them all out in one fellswoop.Although the Heaven-Eradicating Sect was strong, they were no match against the Ten GreatRaces.novelbin
