Mia reminded them all. “Watch your step. There’s something unusual about this city.”
James scanned the Dead City’s surroundings.
The city was completely still, and not a single sound could be heard. The city was shrouded in blackfog, adding to its mysterious air.
James was undaunted as he was strong and had a Demonic Body that was formed by the DemonicLotus. The Demonic Lotus came from the same source as the power that surrounded the area, so hehad nothing to worry about.
He boldly walked toward the city gate.
Soon, he reached the city gate.
James inspected the closed city gate, and attempted to push it open.
However, the gate did not budge.
He put more force into his action, but the gate remained shut.
James raised his head and leaped into the air. He planned to jump over gate.
His body soared high into the sky. Just as he tried to cross the gate, a terrifying force swept inside thecity and struck him.
Unable to withstand the blow, James plummeted from the sky and crashed into the ground.
Boom!
His fall made a loud sound.
The ground was extremely sturdy. It was undamaged, even though James crashed into it with greatforce.
James staggered back up from the ground.
Mia rushed over and asked. “What happened, Mr. Caden?”
James raised his head and said solemnly, “I tried to fly over the gate but a terrifying force from withinthe city struck me down.”
Herbert immediately stood up and volunteered. “I’ll give it a go.”novelbin
He flew into the sky but was also struck down by the crushing force.
Hadrian also attempted to do the same but likewise also failed.
Mia said solemnly, “It seems we can only enter through the city gate.”
After speaking, Mia walked toward the gate and tried to push it open.

Hadrian looked at James and asked. “What should we do, Mr. Caden?”
James shrugged at his question. It was his first time in Dead City, so he likewise had no idea how toproceed.
The trio looked at him in anticipation.
James had no choice but to reassure them, saying, “Let me try something else.”
Afterward, he used his Space Path’s Power to open a void through the city gate.
However, the space around them was unusual, and he could not create a passage.
Helpless, James said, “How about we make a detour and see if we can go around the city instead toreach the depths of Mount Nothingness? Or maybe we can follow the city wall to see if there is anotherentrance.”
All three of them nodded in unison. Then, they began to walk along the city wall.
However, they simply found themselves back at the city gate.
