Chapter 2213

Chapter 2213

James could not care less about a cultivator at the Herculean First Layer. With his current strength, hecould easily annihilate him without resorting to Sacrilegious Ascension.novelbin

He grinned mischievously at the man before him.

“Cut the cr*p!”

The man’s face darkened as he swung his sword. Terrifying Sword Light shredded through the air andcharged toward James.

James smiled faintly as he appeared a hundred meters away in the blink of an eye. When the SwordLight made contact with the ground, the earth rumbled.

A sword appeared in James’ hand. It was the Primordial Dragon Blade that he had kept in the CelestialAbode.

With the sword in hand, he magically appeared before the man. Before the man could react, James’sword was already pressed against his neck.

“I…”

His blood ran cold.

He was a Herculean First Layer, which was considered powerful at his age. Now, however, he wasdefeated in seconds.

James extended his arm and said coldly, “Come on.”

Frustrated, the man looked at James and pleaded, “I-I’ve learned my mistakes. Please give me achance. I’ll be disqualified if you take my token. With my strength, I have the right to become a discipleof the Welkin Academy.”

James smiled faintly and struck the man’s chest with his palm.

Powerful Palm Energy burst forth and sent the man flying, who collapsed heavily to the ground andvomited a mouthful of blood.

James appeared before the man and glanced downward at him, saying, “Your token.”

Reluctantly, the man handed his token to James.

After obtaining the token, James turned to leave. Meanwhile, the man who lost his token was forciblytransported out of the Moonlit Ridge Painting and disqualified.

Once he got his bearings, James pressed forward.

Along the way, he came across many examinees engaging in fierce battles against one another in thehopes of seizing more tokens for themselves. James knew that the token only determined thepreliminary ranking and as such, was unimportant. The primary objective should be to head to thearena in the central region.

Meanwhile, Melany was surrounded by three men at a place not too far away from James.

“Your token, Miss.”

Surrounded, Melany bit her lips. She knew she would be disqualified once she lost the token.

She had no choice but to become a disciple of the Welkin Academy. Otherwise, her family would betyrannized by the Zaydons.

However, the three men before her exuded an aura that was not beneath hers. Besides, she stood nochance against three people at once.

“p-Please let me go. I really want to be a disciple of the Welkin Academy.”

“Hahaha!” A man roared in laughter, “Who doesn’t want to be a disciple of the Welkin Academy? However, you need to have certain strengths to do so. So what if you arrive in the central region? Withyour strength, you won’t be able to make it to the top thousand.”

“I-I won’t give up! I’ll do my best!” Melany said with determination in her eyes. Then, she brandishedher sword and pointed at her opponents, saying, “Come!”

“Since you have a death wish, don’t blame us for what happens next!”

James was sensing his surroundings as he made his way to the central region. He wanted to look forMelany and repay his debts. Though he had never seen her, he knew what Melany’s aura felt like.

Just as he was making his way to the central region…

“Huh?”

Sensing a familiar aura, he stopped and gazed into the distance.

Not too far away, a woman was engaged in a fierce battle against a man in a forest. Two other menwere also watching the battle.
