One year had passed.
James had been searching for Thea for an entire year.
This whole time, he failed to find any news about Thea, but just when he was about to give up, hesuddenly learned of Thea’s current location.
“James, I’ve seen Thea in the surveillance footage. She’s indeed at the Callahans” villa,” said Henry.
James was beyond thrilled and could not find the words to express himself. He turned around andquickly left the airport.
Henry chased after him and said, “James, I’ll drop you at the Callahans” villa.”
“Alright.” James nodded.

Tommy frantically ran over to the other Callahans.
At that moment, everyone was gathered around Thea, who was presently eating.
Lex stood up and pointed his cane at Tommy, reprimanding him, “Where are your manners? Why areyou causing such a fuss? Can’t you see Thea’s eating?”

Tommy pointed outside and said, “T-There’s tons of military vehicles are parked outside our house!”
“What?! Really?”
Lex was overjoyed.
The other family members also stood up.
The appearance of military vehicles meant that James was back.
The whole family rushed out to greet him.
Only Thea was left puzzled by the situation. She scratched her head and murmured, “What’s going on?Why’d everyone suddenly leave?”
She was starving right then, so she ignored them and continued eating.
James got out of one of the military vehicles parked outside the gate.
After he got out of the car, he immediately noticed the Callahans waiting at the gate for him. He hurriedover and asked, “Is Thea back? Has Thea returned home?”
None of the Callahans knew what had happened.
David nodded and replied, “Yeah. Thea’s back, but…”
Before he could finish speaking, James rushed into the villa.
James entered the house and saw an innocent-looking woman dressed in white seemingly engrossedwith her meal.
When he saw Thea, James’ heart soared with elation.
He walked over excitedly and lifted her up,

Thea was shocked at the man who suddenly rushed over and hugged her while she was in the middleof eating. After a few seconds, she screamed and repeatedly hit James’ shoulder.
“What’re you doing? Put me down!!!

Thea beat his body and screeched at him.
James let go of Thea.
He looked at her and cried tears of joy.
“Thea, you’re alive! Thank god… Thank god you’re still alive! I’ve been searching everywhere for youduring
the past year! I’ve climbed mountains and crossed rivers, but I couldn’t find any traces of yourwhereabouts. You don’t understand how much it broke my heart.”

Thea looked at the tearful man in front of her dumbfoundedly.
She thought to herself, “Who is this man?”
“Mom!”
Seeing Gladys enter the house, she immediately called out for her.
Thea ran to Gladys and hid behind her. She poked out her tiny head and stared at James in the livingroom. Then, she asked warily, “Mom, who’s this guy? What’s wrong with him? He’s scaring me.”
“That’s your husband, James.”
“Pfft”
Thea pouted and said, “No way. How could I marry a man like that? My husband must be an uprightman. How could he be such a sloppy person? Look at him. His hair is so long. How long has it beensince he last cut it? Also, look at the sword he’s carrying. He looks like a criminal!”
Thea spouted scathing remarks about James.
James had given Thea a horrible first impression.
Hearing this, the Callahans’ jaws all hit the floor in shock.
Lex’s face immediately darkened.
The Callahans’ current status was only possible because of James.
Yet, here Thea was unable to recognize the man she married.
With one word from James, the Callahans would lose everything if he lost his patience.
Lex quickly interjected, “Thea, he’s really your husband. That’s James. Take a closer look.”
Thea glanced at James once more.
