Chapter 1658

The Omniscient Deity’s strength startled James and Sky.

Sky stood in the distance and looked at the Omniscient Deity, then cast another glance at James.novelbin

“I know you’ll eventually leave Mount Jade, James. You better not forget our agreement.”

James looked at Sky and said, “I haven’t forgotten about it. You can let me know whenever you needmy assistance. However, you should give up trying to get a Novenary Golden Pill from me unlessyou’re able to defeat me.”

Novenary Golden Pill was closely linked to the attainment of the ninth rank.

There was the belief that a Novenary Golden Pill could help a martial artist enter the ninth rank.

Regardless of whether or not it was true, James did not want to risk handing over the Novenary GoldenPills to others.

He never intended to reveal the fact he had acquired Novenary Golden Pills but had no choice but toexpose them to the world to find Thea.

Sky left silently.

With the Omniscient Deity around, Sky knew he had no chance of snatching the Novenary Golden Pillsfrom James.

After Sky left, James walked over to the Omniscient Deity and stared at him, asking, “Tell me again. What happened to Thea? Where exactly did she go?”

“She’s dead.”

“That’s impossible.”

James yelled frenziedly, “Dead or alive, I need to see her! Where is her body? Bring me to her.”

The Omniscient Deity sighed. “James, you have to accept the reality. She’s no longer in this world. Ifyou don’t believe me, you can look for her yourself.”

“You’re lying! There’s no way she’s dead! I don’t believe you!”

James kept shaking his head in denial.

“I don’t believe she’s dead yet!”

“I’ll find her even if it means searching every corner of this world!”

James brazenly uttered his intent and stormed off.

The moment he left Mount Jade’s vicinity, Sky approached him once more.

He looked at James calculatively and said, “I thought you were really planning on spending the rest ofyour life on Mount Jade. Now, give me a Novenary Golden Pill. I only require one.”

Sky stretched out his hand to gesture for James to hand him a Novenary Golden Pill.

“You’d better stop getting in my way.”

James had a gloomy expression.

His priority was finding Thea, but Sky was repeatedly interrupting him.

He was starting to get irritated at Sky’s incessant demands.

“I must get a Novenary Golden Pill today!” Sky demanded.

Swoosh!

James suddenly drew the Primordial Dragon Blade.

A dazzling golden Sword Light shimmered from the blade.

He pointed the long sword at Sky and taunted, “Let’s see if you have the ability to take it from me.”

As soon as he drew his sword, a bronze-colored radiance spread all over his body, and his skin wasdyed a rich, bronze hue.

Additionally, a copper-colored aura covered the surface of his body.

Seeing James display such a powerful technique, Sky’s face darkened.

He knew James practiced a formidable technique with the best defensive power in the world.

Despite ascending the Seventh Stair of the Skyward Stairway, he still felt trepidation when hewitnessed the technique.

“Are you really not willing to part with just one? A single pill is all I need.”

Sky attempted to persuade James.

He wanted to get the Novenary Golden Pills without having to fight.

“I already told you that’s impossible.”

James’ expression darkened, and he said coldly, “If you want the Novenary Golden Pills, you’ll have todefeat me. If I lose, I won’t just give you one, I’ll hand all of them over to you.”

“You stubborn brat.”

Sky spat him and turned to leave.

He left in a hurry and disappeared from James’ sight almost instantly.

After he left, James dispelled the Invincible Body Siddhi.

He took out the small crystal bottle containing the Novenary Golden Pills. Then, he opened it andremoved one pill.

After a bit of hesitation, he opened his mouth and swallowed it.

A powerful jolt of energy coursed through his body after he consumed the pill.
